luvmoo....3 bags!! 70 lbs each!! Oh boy! Imagine all the OOT bags I could carry down there! That would be fantastic! I've thought about the weight, and how Im going to get everything I want down there, but travelling executive class might be the way to do it!

Yup!!! 3 bags each, at up to 70 lbs per bag!! That is what was quoted in writing to me.. :) i know.. it is sooo worth it! i am also doing OOT vbags and bring ing other decorations, so this makes it soo worth it!!  :)  I know you mentioned before that you would like to sit with your guests.. but at the same time.. what a nice treat is that!! you and your soon to be hubby.. sitting in executive class with a glass of whatever free alcohol of your choice.. ( it is free in exec class) and the extra room to sit and relax and get giddy and excited!! not to mention.. you could still walk to the back of the plane and visit.. on the flight!! :) to me.. it is the best of both worlds!! and on top of that.. you should be getting this upgrade for FREE!!!! worth the ophone call to inquire!! :)

LOVE the flowers. I'm doing an adaptation of this as well. Sorry, I'm a lurker from Dec 2011 since I can't find any other brides from this month. Y'all are so prepared already! I'm not anywhere close to where I need to be and my date is just around the corner. =)

I am planning on doing a couple things kinda small for the wedding if anyone wants to buy from me! It would be great to not have to lug back home!  We can just keep the decorations going bride to bride!

I am going to recreate this pic and have floating purple orchids at the wedding site and just use the standard silver chair ties and white chuppah fabric the hotel provides:

Then have these floating candles with purple orchids at the table (estimating about 8-10)

I am going to put these placemats under the vases and sprinkle sanddollars, shells and starfish around them

Then have a starfish for every person at the table for their place tag

Sorry if this was long, just excited!!! pinkie.gif

Hi!! I am also getting married at the Iberostar in august and am from Toronto. I read your thread that if flying executive class you could travel with 3 bags up to 70lbs. Which airline are you travelling with and does that mean you are able to travel with up to 210lbs of luggage?

Hi There,

That was the case if you got your tickets before september.. Air Canada has changed their baggage allowance.. so unfortunately.. this is no longer the case... now, you can have only 2 bags up to 70 lbs per bag, per person.. still alot more than other airlines :)

You can, if you rent out the steakhouse for a private reception.. if you are having semi private or non private then no, you can't.. you can only have basic decorations.. Hope this helps!!

eiik!! can't believe i am leaving for Jamaica in just 38 days! lol

I am reserved at Iberostar Rose Hall beach for August 2012. What was your final decision about the beach wedding. I was thinking about doing a bonfire for cocktail hour, group reception for dinner, and not sure about private reception with DJ.

What did you decide?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
