Iberostar Rose Hall Beach (IRHB) February 2012

Recommended Posts

I finally reserved my wedding date!!!!! Things are starting to feel real. One thing that concerns me is I received an email stating the Tameica the wedding coordinator is not returning to work!?! Has anyone else heard this. I have heard nothing but good things about her.

Has anyone had a private beach reception at the IRHB?

I am getting married at IRHB Feb 20, 2012. I'm so excited to have the resort and date set, now for the fun stuff! I just sent out my save the dates. I was thinking that if anyone is getting married before me and wants to sell their decorations I would be interested, if the colors are right, because I dont want to lug a bunch of stuff down there. Congrats to all the brides, I think we made a good decision.

I am looking at Feb 2nd or Feb 9th. I wasnlt really planning on doing too much extra- maybe just a little something to the arch thing and something on the back of each chair. (Hmmm...what do the chairs with the standard package even look like?) Maybe Angi, Lesli and I could all share some stuff to reduce expenses. Not sure how that would work though??? If we do Feb 2nd then we'd be there on the 1stand it would be easy to share with Angie, but not sure if they'd hang on to the stuff until the 20th...or whenever you Lesli would get there.

I am from Michigan.

Does anyone have pictures of what the decor/set up looks like when you don't do add-ons? I wasn't planning on doing much extra but want to see what I feel like I think it needs.

We are thinking about doing a non-private dinner and then doing a cocktail hour or two after dinner. Any thoughts on doing it that way. I am just not sure how to do first dance if we do that way. Will they provide a CD player or IPOD dock at a cocktail hour? Do they charge extra for that?

Thanks for any help!

I am getting married at the IRHS on Feb 11th!  I heard Tameica isn't working there anymore, check out the sticky thread in the Jamaica Accommodations & Site section, cause I think someone just posted on this.

I am planning on doing a couple things kinda small for the wedding if anyone wants to buy from me! It would be great to not have to lug back home!  We can just keep the decorations going bride to bride!

I am going to recreate this pic and have floating purple orchids at the wedding site and just use the standard silver chair ties and white chuppah fabric the hotel provides:

Then have these floating candles with purple orchids at the table (estimating about 8-10)

I am going to put these placemats under the vases and sprinkle sanddollars, shells and starfish around them

Then have a starfish for every person at the table for their place tag

Sorry if this was long, just excited!!! pinkie.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
