Any 2012 brides?

I havent been to Mexico before so cant help you out with that. Los Cabos is a "safer" part of Mexico so you may have more guests decide to come...it didnt make a difference for us, a lot of people are not liking all the canadian issues in the news lately! Due to lack of response by their wedding co-ordinator we decided to switch to Melia Cabo Real. She is better to work with and more timely and professional than the Hola Grand Faro, however if we had a bigger wedding party and more specific needs (and a higher budget) I would suggest that if you go with Cabo to go with an external wedding co-ordinator. I emailed almost every planner and there were two that were amazing and called me a few times rather than email. It was very nice to see their friendly, proffessional manor! Illeana from romanticweddings and claudia from asusnetwedding are both amazing!

Ann Marie Williams with weddingsinthebahamas is absolutely amazing if you are considering other destinations...she is in Nassau Bahamas. Very pretty there!

Regardless I am sure you will have a beautiful wedding! Congrats and good luck!

It was my first time there yes. We stayed in a timeshare at first but once we decided that we would be getting married at Melia we decided to stay there our last night. We had a really great time. Nubia was really really great in person. Are you getting there a day or two early? I have a strong feeling she will take care of everything. Let me know if you have any questions as I was just there!

We will be getting there 6 days early, so hopefully everything will work out! :)  Did you rent a car there, if not was it expensive getting around? Were there any vendors or anything like that on the beach? We have never been to Cabo at all so any little tips for a first timer would rock ;) We are doing TTD, did you happen to scope out the beaches while u were there and did any look like nice spots for that? Thanks!! 23days until our wedding! eeeek!!!

Nice! Yes we rented a car - it was like $15 per day plus $16.99 per day for insurance - so pretty affordable. I would definitely recommend renting a car if you guys are planning on going to San Lucas. Melia's beach is private so there are vendors for things like horse back riding, jet skiing, etc. but no vendors selling things like necklaces, sarongs, etc. There was lots of that going on at Medano Beach (Cabo San Lucas).

So this whole concept of TTD is extremely new to me :) What would constitute as a nice spot for this?

TTD is where you go into the ocean/lay on the beach with your dress on (essentially "trashing/wrecking" it) Most of the time it can be drycleaned however and look as good as new! There are many photographers that have displays of work they have done that they can show you. I honestly do not know what classifys as good spots for ttd, some people have had it done at lovers beach, some I dont know what beach they are on, somewhere secluded and that has clean sand (not full of algea or anything), and that has some rocks/formations, etc so that there is some depth to the pictures, also where the waves are not too insane so that you can go into the ocean. :) Have you chosen your photographer? What about make up artist? Have you decided on either of these yet?

Yes, I recently heard of this is which is still crazy to me because I am so obsessed with my dress I don't want to trash it haha. The picture are amazing though and the concept is cute...hmmm...

I think the El Arco rock formation was really beautiful maybe somewhere around there? Is that where lovers beach is?

I'm in the midst of emailing with photographers and makeup artists but no one is booked. I know who I want though for photography- what about you?

Hi!

My name is Brie. My fiance and I live in Calgary, AB, Canada.

We are getting married at Dreams Los Cabos on October 4th 2012! Magda is our wedding coordinator. We have selected the $3,000.00 Ultimate wedding package.

I feel like I am at a stand still with selecting a photographer and also deciding on decorations for the reception (ie: what to bring down with us). Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated!

So excited! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
