The rehearsal dinner will be Friday at the Medano Beach Club complete with beach bonfire and live music. Sunset Mona Lisa is beautiful! In fact my fiance and I had dinner there last March 3rd, right after we got engaged! We are having our wedding on March 2nd at Melia and we were just saying that we would like to go back to sunset on the 3rd (the day after our wedding, and exactly a year after we had been there) to bookend the experience! The whales at sunset will be perfect!

YAY! This makes me happy, you are the first bride who is getting married in July 2012 in Cabo that I can see! it makes me less nervous as we are thinking of having our wedding on the 3rd of August 2012 in Cabo somewhere.  I have no idea where to start!!!  My fiance and I live in London and I am a New Zealander and he is American.  We picked Mexico as we feel it's somewhere sort of 'in between' where our families still live in NZ and America.  This forum has been a godsend, I don't know how you would plan a destination wedding without it!!

We have narrowed down our sites to the Sheraton and Sunset da Mona Lisa (I think....!  I keep seeing posts on here that make me change my mind!) and really want somewhere with a great onsite WP so that I can be less nervous about organising something so far away (I have never even been to Cabo and won't go there until a week before the weekend!)

Any help and advice would be so much appreciated.

Thanks

Paula

Paula, I just got back from Mexico last week and pretty much changed my whole plan. My wedding website is mywedding.com/brynnandjacob and I have a ton of information on there because I am blogging my way through the planning process. Let me know if you have any specific questions about venues and vendors because I learned so much while I was down there this last time. I am a wedding planner in Texas so really anything I can help with I would be happy to.

Sorry I have taken so long to reply! I didn't realise you had even replied! (is there a box or something I need to tick to get emails when someone replies to something I have written?)

Thanks so much Brynn, I am feeling a bit lost at the moment given we are doing this from such a distance (London..!!)  Sounds like you are totally up with the play, and have lots of info from your visit. I will definitely visit your blog.  We are close to receiving our contract for the Sheraton and are really happy with everything they have offered so far.  We wanted to do it at a Villa but I felt being so far away it was too much to organise and too much could go wrong.  I don't think I would be a bridezilla, but who knows!

Thanks for your help, will check out your blog now...

x Paula

Hello ladies! I am newly planning a DW in Cabo. I love the site and look forward to bouncing off ideas with the rest of you. Planning for a stateside wedding had me stressed out. I am 36 and don't need it.  I have always wanted a DW and can only hope that my family will follow suit, eventually. I have been doing my research and want to keep the cost for guests reasonable. I am thinking the Hilton or Sirena del Mar.

Which resorts have you ladies been thinking of?

Do you think I need an outside coordinator?

Thank you for your advice and happy planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
