Turks & Caicos Wedding Planner

They never gave us a minimum requirement. Most of our guests booked cheaper options but we booked 9 nights as did one other couple in our group. I never heard them mention minumum bookings, though other resorts we looked into (specifically, Seven Stars) did. It could be because we travelled during the off peak season but I really don't think they have any restrictions. Grace Bay Club and Nila Destinations worked wonderfully together.

Hi paulinern, Looks like we're looking to get married on the same day! We just made a trip out to T+C 10 days ago for site visits and met with NILA. Private message me and I'll share my thoughts. Glad to find someone to plan with :)

We planned our own wedding (just last week) but there were only 16 guests. Here are my recommendations:

  • Wedding Cake: Cakes to Di for was awesome, worked with our budget and VERY creative, Diane is very nice.
  • Caterer: Kissing Fish (Clive from Bay Bistro Restaurant) again, worked with our budget and delivered a fantastic Beach BBQ.
  • Flowers: Went with The Flower Girl, and regretted it -- tried to pull a bait and switch, blamed her staff, excuses, excuses -- she finally came through, but it wasn't worth the aggravation. Pay the premium and go with Environmental Arts.
  • Location: We rented a large villa on Sapodilla Bay and had the wedding on the beach and the reception around the pool -- but again, it was only 18 people so it was easy to accommodate all.

Hi Paulinern!

I just got married in Turks and Caicos last weekend (47 guests). Diane and Michelle from Island Harmony were our wedding planners. They were fabulous! I was a bit of a picky bride with how I wanted everything to look, and they exceeded all my expectations. Also, what I've noticed about some of the vendors on the island is that they are sometimes slow with getting back to you. Diane and Michelle were prompt each time (so was Kissing Fish actually), and answered all my questions/concerns etc..even if they were miniscule. And, I have to say, during the heart of wedding planning I was going back and forth with them a few times of day, and they kept everything so organized (this was crucial). I think one of the most frustrating parts about planning a destination wedding was slow responses from vendors on the island (mainly Environmental Arts...but they had a bit of a switch over with the contact person..Cyrille to Ernst, and it ended up going way better. Ernst was responding back to me about flowers at 11pm, so they have gotten much better with quicker responses), but I never had that problem with Island Harmony (I'm sure I was more slow to respond at times). This was so helpful in not making wedding planning as stressful.

I'll do a post soon going into more detail about my experience on the island. Let me know if you have any questions!

Petesoup, We are planning a villa wedding as well, and I'm thinking not to hire a wedding planner (I produce a large 2000 people show, so kind of feel like I can plan a 30 people wedding;) Did you use any rental places for chairs, gazebo for the ceremony?

If you are looking for reliable, professional DJ services for your Turks and Caicos Wedding - you should have a look at DJ Dayoh. www.djdayoh.webs.com. He has been working most of the weddings at Seven Stars this year but has also played at lots of other venues here. He has just launched his website so its still a little under construction but you can ask Laura at Seven Stars about him as he is usually her first choice for Wedding DJ.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
