Thanks

The Alexandria is a beautiful resort with great space, a nice pool with a swim up bar and a fun beachfront restaurant. The lounge chairs were nice and there are pretty little lamp posts around the resort.I think it would be one of the better resorts to host your wedding as they offer a range of pricing on rooms for guests. They have rooms available that look right over the ocean and I really liked that the balconies were not screened in like at the Sands and Ocean Club resorts. On my honeymoon, I don't want anything between me and the ocean! It is also walkable to several other resorts and restaurants- including Bay Bistro, a very popular spot.

I have wedding guests that booked there but we chose to use a resort that was more walkable to groceries, activities, shopping and inexpensive accomodation options. You could walk down to all that  from the Alexandria but it would be a long walk and not practical with groceries and such. If you had a car it would be great. Of the less expensive, beachfront properties it would have been my pick. It was just a little too far for us.

Good luck with your planning!

Thank you for your help! We are very excited to go to T&C in April! After reading everyone's posts about wedding coordinators, I realized that noone has mentioned the woman that I am working with, Rosalind McKenzie, and was wondering if anyone had worked with her? Or heard about her? Thanks!

WCorey, I was debating with working with her or Island Harmony. I eventually chose Island Harmony, but was really close to working with Rosalind. I believe she was the wedding planner for the Alexandra Resort. I spoke with her often while I was trying to figure out who to go with. She always answered all my questions quickly and was always really friendly (and I asked a billion questions in the beginning because I was still deciding on whether or not we'd even get married in Turks and Caicos). I only decided against going with her because I decided on a different venue than Alexandra Resort. She was also incredibly friendly when I told her we decided to go in a different direction. I don't think you'll go wrong with her!

W Corey,

I just came back from my wedding and Rosalind was our planner. She completely ruined our event. I can't even begin to list the serious errors she made simply out of lack of care. I can forward you the letter of complaints I sent to her that explains everything. She was very responsive at first so I made the mistake of putting my trust in her. My day is over, and I am left heartbroken. I am available to answer any questions to make sure that another bride doesn't have the same experience.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
