Hi Everyone, I am booked for May 3rd 2014. We booked our photographer (Saab) for the wedding and a TTD. Does anyone know if I will have to pay the vendor fee twice? Thanks

Hi cvjm14 .... Ill be leaving the resort just before you .... I get married on the 10th and leave the 18th of April .... The vendor fee is something I'm worrying about too .... Booked a makeup and hair person - her name is rashel Edwards - lots of reviews on here about her and she has a facebook .... Good price but the vendor fee bulks it up ..... I found a photographer who covers the vendor fee although I haven't officially booked yet - marcia Roberts. What are you thinking for after the ceremony? x

Hey Misslaura! I contacted Rashell also but she was already booked for my date I don't really see any other reviews for airbrush makeup not sure what to do..... Also my photographer does cover the vendor fee but not for TTD so I don't want to pay 2x. May have to off resort I guess. Anyway after the ceremony I'm tossed. Considering either renting the steak house or beach. How about you?

I'm going to have the free semi private dinner (although you still have to pay something) .... As ive got under 30 and think we'd be lost up on the top and my mum doesnt want to eat her food on the beach - shes a bit funny! Then going down for a Beach party - I'm going to get a dj in (kevan) and he also does a steel band ...only having the band if its only the one fee to have both as its the same company. Would like the band to play after we're married for a bit while the photos are being captured .... So much to think about! Who is your photographer? I've read about another few make up artists on here but can't remember their names .... There is a forum for make up tho under Jamaican vendors

It is really nice to get so much info and to hear from brides who´ve gotten married at the RIU.

It seems like nobody is using the free bouquet,  because you have had a chance to see some beforehand. I just don´t seem to be able to find much information about the free bouquet? Please help me. Do you get to choose colors, which flowers can you choose from? I´ve heard that you get to choose between two different bouquets, one is multi colored I think, but what about the other one. Whatever you have heard please let me know, I need to find out if I should bring silk flowers.

Also what was your experience with vendors fees? If there is one thing that I am very displeased with, it is the external vendor fees!

Hi talia I am the same. My wedding is booked for April and I'm also unhappy with the vendor fees .... Wish I knew this before I booked. I found a photographer though has does both photos and video and pays the hotel fees - she's marcia Roberts x

Hi Laura! I too wish I had known before starting the booking process. This is my situation. I booked my cinematographer and I'm willing to take the hotel photographer provided that my vendor fee is waived for the cinematographer. I'll contact Marcia Roberts though. I sincerely dislike that they will not let you have the right to "freely" choose your vendor of choice. I went with EliteMediaConcepts for my video. They're amazing!

Oh I know ..... I looked at them but did not have the budget for it .... I've booked a beauty person too for hair and makeup ..... I wanted an outside dj and steel band but not sure if I can afford all of these vendor fees. Also the $200- $350 only allows 2 ppl to enter too.... Not good..... I thought that the salon was ridiculously over priced! Where are you having your ceremony? I'm planning to use the courtyard bit and then the semi private dinner and then a beach party! Can't wait! X
