Taking extra decor to the resort.

Recommended Posts

Is anyone taking extra decor's to Jamaica?

I think the resort is charging a lot of extra decor.

I will be getting the waves of love package..but i am thinking  of taking down real touch flowers for my bridesmaid and flower girl.

I am also hoping to take down extra blue flowers to place on the tables to make it look better since the package is simple.

So my question is has anyone done this before?

do you know if the resort is okay with these extra decor?

I'm getting married at the GP Palladium and I ended up purchasing Real Touch Orchids to use.  For $60, I have 4 boutinerres, 4 corsages, and 2 branches for my bridesmaids.  They seriously look so real and turned out perfect!  Only took me and my FMIL less than a hour to make them all.  Great deal since the florist was going to charge $20/boutinerre and $80+ for bridesmaid bouquets/stems.  I'm also bringing down my own Sand Ceremony vases.  Resort was going to charge $50, got my own personalized set for $25.  Otherwise I'm sticking with the resort decorations and will be paying $50 for the centerpieces (Waves of Love package as well).

There are tons of brides who were just married who took their own decorations, and I'm pretty sure there was no cost.

Hi Shelly!  I must have missed this part when I read your thread the first time... I'm taking down Preserved Orchids (white with pink accents) to scatter around the tables and also having them place one on each plate with the seashell.  :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
