Not a destination wedding, but still a beach wedding! :)

We have our:

Ceremony booked,

Reception site booked,

Rentals booked,

Officiant booked and paid for,

DJ booked and paid for,

Photographer booked

Bridesmaids & Flower Girls dresses picked out

Videographer booked

Musicians about to be booked

Transportation to be booked soon

In the process of getting flowers (Very picky about my colours so it's taking a while :P)

Have someone I'm going to get back in contact with for invitations, but I think it's too soon for that yet :P.

Have the stuff to do our wedding favours, and have started collecting stuff to do our own thank you cards :).

I have a dress in mind but am going to go dress shopping once more before I decide for sure.

I LOVE that we had over a year to plan it! It has given me a lot of time to bargain shop, and take my time to find vendors, etc.

I think the only 'main thing' we haven't figured out yet, is who is going to do our cake :P.

Group rates secured

Wedding website done

Invitations made and sent (people have said they loved them which is really nice!!)

Now all I have to do is plan out the day, finish the OOT bags and plan out the decorations :)

All the big stuff is DONE! Big sigh of relief, i've been stressed out about getting the resort package done and invitations out.

dHi, I'm getting married at Beaches Turks & Caicos on June 4, 2012!  I have been enjoying all the posts on BDW and think there are so many great ideas...I'm starting to get overwhelmed with which ones to do.  Anyone have tips on how you are organizing or saving the the ideas so you can access them later?

So far I have:

Date booked

Hotel booked

Group rates secured

Save the Date sent electronically via TheKnot.com

Wedding website done on theknot.com

2 Dress bought (and at home!).  One of the dresses will be for a TTD photo shoot. But not sure if this is the dress I want.  Thinking i might want to get a sexy knock off for the shoot.

Photographer booked (TTD)

Lots more to do.  Happy planning ladies!

You've lost your planning Mojo as JQ would call it!!!! It happens to all of us I think, the head count thing is a real downer as you just want to know how many to plan for!!! Keep your chin up, you will get your mojo back!!!!!

I'm in a bit of planning funk.  :(  Wishing I had more idea of who was actually coming and that people would book instead of waiting.

I have a file called "wedding" on my computer in there there is a ton of sub files, I save a LOT of pictures that inspire me ie. centrepieces, aisle decor, cakes, etc.  I also have a word document with notes to myself in regards to the forum and ideas that don't have pictures or something "-check out Bride's Planning thread"  It also helps to subscribe to threads that inspire or interest you that way you can refer back to them closer to that stage!!! Good luck!!!!

Congrats everyone!

merrylee - I feel the same way :(

Last night I went to Target & tried to start buying for my OOT bags, which I find impossible since I really have no idea how many people. Everyone says YES but only 6 have booked(we mailed 52 invites).

So I made my first OOT bag purchases last night. I got 5 mini aloe gels and 5 mini lint rollers. (.99 cents each) I was standing in the travel section for what felt like an hour and could not decide what to buy and thought what would people use. When I got home & put them in a pile I thought it was lame! LOL! I thought...5! I guess I should maybe go with 20?? 10?? I have no idea!!! UGH!

I figured every time I go I will pick up 5 more.

And don't even ask me about the bags...forget it! I cant decide what kind and will definitely wait on some kind of head count for them.

MTruvillio - I am clearly overwhelmed too! I also have a folder called Wedding with files, pics, docs saved but I think I saved too many esp when it comes to oot bag items.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
