Hello everyone and congrats !!

Well I'm getting married the 08 of November 2012 at Dreams Punta Cana. I'm soo excited !! I've sent out boarding passes as save the date / invitations. I was not able to get a group rate yet but i decided to send the invitations anyway so everyone knows it's a destination wedding. I wrote on in approximately how much it will cost. I've also created a web site. I think we will have a least 40 guests !!

We're getting married at Dreams Palm Beach, DR on Dec 1, 2012, We did passport STDs that were sent out this week! The process is overwhelming but having a great time with my FI. We are doing our own boarding pass invites. Got many great ideas from this site. Good luck everyone!

We will be married at Dreams Palm Beach, in Punta Cana, on October 20, 2012!!!! Ceremony, reception, DJ and photographer booked and STDs are out... Now to decide - message in a bottle, boarding pass or 'treasure chest' invite? Or is anyone else doing something unique and special?

teamboyd2012- we did passport save the date and are doing boarding pass invites. Message in the bottle looked to have been too pricey, but would have loved to do that!

we're getting married there Dec 1. Planning to book HCD as the photographer/videographer and DJ Mannia - but not sure if want to book the DJ through the hotel or directly through Mannia. trying to figure out where we get the best deal for our $$. What did you do?

Enerlise -  So funny! We booked HDC and DJ Mannia as well! After putting all the pricing together we decided to book Mannia separately. Mannia's pricing is a bit better (price for 4 hours equals 3 from hotel) but once you add in resort fee it is almost same as booking through hotel.

The determining factor for us was hearing what other brides were saying on this site. We put the numbers on paper and saw that if we took the free package and did the add-ons ourselves we came out better that our original package (Dreams of Love). And since we are bringing A LOT of our own stuff from home (and booking outside vendors - HDC, Mannia and Floral), it just made more sense.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
