2012 Brides - Roll Call!

Recommended Posts

i just found this site and i love it!!!!! i know i have a while to go (313 days per my app on my phone lol ) but i am so excited!!

But we are booked at Secrets Maroma Beach for Aug 19-26. I have made the initial contact with the wedding coordinator down there.

I am not really concerned about the whole getting in and out of Mexico. I have found lots of tips on time saving at Customs and checking in. I'm not worried about the actual flight, even though neither my fiance' or I have ever flown. The only thing I am stressing over is the on board-seat situation....

We're flying Continental/United which I am stressing about for sure. I am a bigger girl and I am trying very hard to lose wieght. But with all the negative things I heard about this airline, it stresses me out and pretty much takes the fun out of it. I don't know anyone who has flown this airline before that could give me some input. I have an aisle seat booked, with my fiance' in the middle next to me, I just am worried about the flight attendent being overly picky and making a spectacle. I have never, ever had a problem at the movie theatre or anything else like that where there is a "standard" seat size....

Sometimes I feel I am over looking it but I have no one to really ask lol!!

So if anybody has any tips or stories or advice please don't hesitate to share it!!!! Thank you so much ladies!

Hi Gabi!

I'm getting married at Iberostar Tucan August 2012 and wondered if you have any photos of the restaurants there.  I'm thinking about renting one out for dinner and would like to see what each looks like inside.

Thanks!

Leanne

Hello everyone! I am super excited to have found this website-- I abcolutely love it! I am getting married November 2012 in Cancun!! I don't have a date yet..and I think I want to have the wedding at Sun Palace. After looking on these forums I realized that most Cancun brides choose Moon Palace.. :) Is it the better choice? I haven't been to Mexico, but I think all of the Palace Resorts look awesome and they have good prices for weddings. Could anyone compare the two Palace locations as far as the awesomeness of weddings goes? Congratulations to everyone and thank you for the great info on this website!!

Hey Ladies!

July 4, 2012 La Palapa, Puerto Vallarta

I just got engaged October 14, 2011 and we've decided!!!  I can't wait!!!!  I am a bit of a worrier so this is HUGE for me.  I have sent out my save-the date- letters and invitaions will follow.  I already found someone to do my hair and make-up.  Looking for a bakery, the music, and need to figure out my flower situation. Anyone have any recommendations????

Congrats to all!  Best of luck through your planning process!

Hey ladies! I'm getting married at the El Dorado Royale Resort in Puerto Morelos on June 30, 2012! I've been tracking hurricane Rita - it looks like it might be a category 2 by the time it hits Cancun/Riviera Maya. I'm a little nervous about what kind of erosion that will do to the beaches along the coast...does anyone have any experience/expertise to share about that? I was reading that hurricane Wilma (2005) was a category 4 when it hit and I know that did extensive damage to the beaches... I really hope category 2 storms don't do nearly as much damage!

My thoughts are with everyone who has a wedding scheduled there this week! Soooo stressful!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
