Unfourtunately I live in LA and she lives in Texas. So there have been a lot of emails, and texts going back and fourth between us. Last thing she had told me was that she bought it hissyfit.gif Like i said I'm hoping she changes her mind down the road... We have 6 months.

Hi Ladies!! I am new to this site as well and very excited!! We are getting married at the Riu in Ocho Rios Jamaica March 13, 2012!! We are booked with the resort and have a "group" travel plan going through our travel agent for all our guests to book! One nice thing about the group is that after so many people book you start getting comps through the resort and the airlines which makes your trip much cheaper!

 

I see some other brides that are getting married in Jamaica... great choice!! I have been to Jamaica many many times and get more excited each time!!

 

I can't wait to hear more about everyone's planning!!

Congrats and welcome.gif. You have found the BEST resource and group of ladies to surround you during this exciting and sometimes stressful time. You will find great ideas, great advice, and a place to come to chat when your FI may get sick of "wedding talk" lol like I know many of us have experienced ;) And I already have a question for you! Did you say you found a way to get a group rate for the airline? We have a group code for our resort, but the airline sure would be nice! Congrate again and happy planning!!!

And a big welcome to you ladies as well!!! Joining this forum has been the BEST and most therapeutic thing I have done in my entire engagement!! My best advice is to get involved and really search for threads that have info/advice you may need or that you think you might be really helpful to... there are some really great ladies on here!! Happy planning and Congrats!!!!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
