I am relatively newly engaged (June 11, 2011) and have been stalking the forums for a few weeks now. Just wanted to share that we are planning on getting married in December 2012, at Las Caletas, Puerto Vallarta. SO EXCITING!!! Even though it's still far away. cheesy.gif

I received an email confirming that our date is available today, so the next step is to put down the deposit!! Yay!!! All of you ladies are awesome, thanks in advance for all the help!! Don't know what I would do without this forum.

Thanks, happy planning to you too! You're the first I've heard that is also December 2012!! Is there a date in December that is special to you and yours, or do you just like the date?? We picked December 5 because it's the date we consider our anniversary of when we met.

Branya2012,

We picked the date because we liked it. Our Actually day we met is July 15 and we didn't want to travel to the DR in the summer...We wanted to wait until it was colder here!  So where are you having your wedding/honeymoon etc? How long are you going to be staying in the DR. We are actually staying from the 6th-21st.

sorry it took me so long, the design and the cleaning up the scan of the drawing plus putting together both the passport and the formal and I only needed 40 all told I think around 500, I was just so happy to hand the enormous project off, and as for how long, as long as you want it to take basically, Rebecca is amazing and will work to make it exactly what you want, I had a ton of stuff I was adding as we went, the reaction to them has been incredible, it was totally worth it to me, I think the invites, the gown and the photos are the only thing I would really splurge on, and honestly the photos are going to be the one big giant expense, so I find ways to save money elsewhere, lol I figured out what I thought was important and went with it...lol :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
