2012 Brides - Roll Call!

Recommended Posts

I'm Ashley, I am new to this site. We just set the date for June 1, 2012. I planned on sending out the save the dates in January, but from reading everyones posts it seems I am a little behind on doing this. Can anyone suggest a good time frame to send the STD and how far in advance we should send out the invitations? We are planning our DW in Mexico, and we have the resort picked out, but have not been able to get ahold of the WC to book the wedding. My FI thinks we should wait until closer to 2012 to book the resort, what are your opinions on this? I am a little lost on where to start the planning. Please help!

were getting our flowers down there as they are included in our package however, iam doing boutonnieres that I will be bringing with us. What im going to do is put them into a box and carry it with me on the plain. But what you could also do, is give them to your girls to carry with them with their carry on.

i have real touch flower bouquets and what i'm doing is poking holes in a cardboard box and wire your bouquets down to the box and not let it move and i can carry it on to the plane or i can put in a whole suitcase with lots of cushioning from our clothes and check it in. We're definitely check in more baggage than normal for the sand ceremony stuff and wine box stuff;)

I am heading home for the holiday weekend tomorrow and hope to convince my mom and sister to help me do a few DIY projects :) I have purchased flowers to make my bridesmaid's bouquets but I'm starting to worry about I will transport them already assembled. Have any of you thought about this or are you just getting flowers there?

Hey all! I'm from San Antonio, TX. We're having an intimate backyard wedding. We're getting married April 20, 2012. So far, I've picked out my invitations, bridal party outfits, location (that was easy!), and food....I'm now kind of freaking out because most of you have already sent out invites and STD's, I was going to wait until Jan. but is that too short of a notice? What is the typical time frame for that?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
