That's awesome and I'm glad that you had a good time.  How did you FSIL respond when you asked her to be in the wedding?

It is so cute, FI gets mad because I wrote out the card I bought for her telling her what she means to me and how I would love for her to be my matron of honor and he's like what am I supposed to do I wanted the card to be from both of us, and I said well, you can write more just to Chuck, and he's like you took all the room *it was a blank card that had 2 more blank pages* but he was being a dude.  And I said you'll figure it out.  So she starts laughing at the end and I said what's funny and she said what Tom wrote.  I look at the card and at the end it says Chuck Ditto.  LOL

As she said she's ridiculously excited.  It helps to have someone besides FI and myself to be excited because she inspires us to keep doing the quarterly newsletters and everything.  Even if people don't end up coming we find ourselves enjoying every minute that we spend planning this wedding together.

Congrats on finding your dress!!!!!

Canadiangirl - I think the red TTD is so pretty! I love the idea of doing a colored dress. I bet it will look awesome in the pics! I wish I could talk my FI into doing a TTD session :(

Hi ladies!!

We are hoping to have our second (church) wedding somewhere in Cancun sometime in Summer 2012! I'd like to get it as close to our anniversary date (6.25) as possible. As far as planning, well, I've already planned and canceled two traditional church weddings shots.gif so I have the dress...I have bridesmaids, but not sure how many can actually make it to Cancun...no theme really except teal.

Honestly, after planning two traditional weddings, one thing I'm looking forward to is keeping this one simple and focused - it's about celebrating our love after all we've been through, surrounded by the people that mean the most to us, in a beautiful, amazing place where everyone can relax and enjoy themselves.

Glad to be here girls! Hope to announce our date soon! Going for site visits in August. We know we're visiting Gran Caribe - any other suggestions for a Catholic Cancun wedding?

Okay I need some opinions. We all know I am not a DIY person!! This is my 2nd attempt at creating luggage tags from Vista Print.  As you can see the lines on the back dont seem to have all the same spacing either!! They are a bit small but I am thinking maybe get some kind of colored paper & put in between the front & back to make it a little bigger. Not sure if that would look ok. I still have to get the tag holders too.

I also created Maraca tags. For these I was just going to punch a hole & tie them with some kind of stringribbon. They look a bit cheesy though. FI thought they were lame & laughed!

Thoughts? Should I just bag trying to do DIYvista print projects?!? LOL!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
