We are getting married November 3, 2012 at Dreams Riviera Cancun. It seems soo far away!  We booked the resort, photographer, and hair & makeup person so far. I also sent out save the dates because a lot of our family/friends were asking for details. I can't wait!

Minimum is 6 months from the date of your wedding.  Anything after that would be considered a rush shipment and will cost you more.  I am actually going to 2 places this weekend.. I picked both locations as they carry at least 5 of the designers that I love.  However; I gave myself until Sept to pick my dress.

In terms of dresses, you can always go for an off the rack option :) I picked up mine last week! I love it and got a designer gown, in 100% silk, at a fraction of the cost! I'll just find my own seamstress - likely to be at a much better rate than the store would offer, and have my own alterations done.  I'll also need to have it drycleaned, but I have so much time!

I started looking for dresses & asked the sales woman how much time I had since I am having a hard time. She said about 9 months out is usually what they recommend. But most the shops I have been to have the clearance racks which as beachbum21 said would totally work!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
