I got a fake e-ring to wear last time I went on vacay - I wore the fake one when I went into the ocean and the real one the rest of the time.  I have insurance, so I wasn't really worried, but I just thought that the chance of me losing it in the ocean was too great.

My real ring is about one carat - find a fake ring that is "only" one carat is tough - it seems like if you're buying a fake ring, you go all out!

I did just find this one at JCPenney - http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?GrpTyp=PRD&ItemID=19bfbf8&DeptID=70737&CatID=70847&SO=0&SelDim=578%7e+579%7e&x5view=1&NOffset=0&Ne=6+5+578+579+3+964+960+18+904+949&shopperType=G&N=4294953107+752+769&Nao=21&PSO=0&CmCatId=70737|70847 that looks pretty similar to my real ring, so I'm getting this for the wedding trip.  I'm also getting one of their faux eternity bands for the honeymoon.

Definitely a good idea!!  My friend's husband recently lost his ring playing pool volleyball in Mexico!  You can never be too careful!!  I want to get one also, but really want the real one for the pictures!?  Are you going to take the real one at all, or just leave it at home?

I would be more scared of losing it if I take it off at the resort.  Do you plan on keeping it in the safe?  Even so, I think it's safest (pardon the pun) on my finger :)  But mine doesn't fit loosely, so I don't think it would ever come off on its own.  And I figure that if I get some sand or sunscreen on it, I might just take a bit of jewelery cleaning solution with me, to sparkle it up for the big day.  I think I would buy a fake one to wear on other vacations, when I can leave the real one safely at home (in the care of my mother or something).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
