Wedding Weekend Activities

Recommended Posts

Hi! I would be interested in seeing which activities your guests did while in Cabo. Did you set them up? Pay for them? Which one did everyone love best? I was thinking about guys doing the ATV thing and girls doing surf lessons (ones who want to) or a spa day. That is my next thing to tackle. The itinerary!

I am going back and forth about planning day events for the guests. Our wedding is a Sunday night (actually at 4PM), and most guests arrive Friday night. That only gives people one full day to lie by the pool. Did you find that yours guests did not want to do this and would rather have something "planned"?

I haven't put alot of thought into this yet...but we are getting married on a monday and most guests are arriving on saturday so same thing just one full day there prior to the wedding.

I was just thinking we would pick something we want to do like Tammy said and then just let everyone know and if they want to join us then the more the merrier!!! If I tried to coordinate an event and have everyone meet ect...I just know i will be stressed out. It's like planing this wedding...you just can't always count on what everyone says...so I am making it as easy on myself if I can.

Tuesday: Boys are fishing (FI's father is hosting and paying this); I will plan something for the girls (spa or something)

Wednesday: the majority of our guests arrive; Welcome dinner at Dreams (private Mexican themed beach party) We are paying for this

Thursday: Sunset cruise on Sunrider (this is our "rehersal dinner") We are paying for this; 28ppl=$1,000

Friday: Wedding and reception: Boys golfing that morning; Girls...huh.gif

Saturday: Brunch with newlyweds: hosted by us at dreams

We had our welcome dinner and Sunset cruise that were group activities that we paid for.

my H set up a golf day for all of the guys who wanted to go (I think there were 16 or 20 of them?) for Friday morning. Otherwise, we let our guests do their own thing. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
