ooohhh - home remodeling for me, hands down! i'm so not a planner ... but the 2 homes i've built (or bought, rather, new construction) i've actually had fun. i will say though - it wasn't picking the TILE that got me, it was choosing the color grout that went with that tile! lol

home remodeling is tough work! we've been at it for months. It's hard to make decisions when you know they'll be around for a while. Or hard when you really want somehting you can't afford/wouldn't put in a starter house - ie glass tile... i want a glass tile bathroom SOOO bad!!

We just painted the entire house about a month ago. This past weekend we decided we weren't 100% thrilled with it so we're repainting parts...

Yick, remodeling is not for me.

The first house I bought I said I would change this or that, but the house wasn't old, so it really didn't need to be replaced (and didn't in 6 years -ha!)

This house we built and we got everything we wanted.

We watched them tile, geesh! They did it with such precision!

Big job since most of the downstairs is tiled.

I don't envy you my dear!

I would rather remodel. We are doing a major renovation to the house after the wedding. We are going to be extending the entire back side of the house. It would be so much easier to move, but we live in a great area, and we are not going to find the amount of house we have with the same land for the same price unless we move out to the sticks. I can't wait though! Pete says we'll just move into the camper while the house is getting renovated. LOL!!

So far, I hate both. LOL!!!

Brendan and I completely renovated our 75 year old house the first year we bought it. Not fun at all. Way too many decisions to make on EVERYTHING.

Same goes for wedding planning.

Let's just say I'm not good at making decisions. YUCK!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
