Has anyone used live video feed to show their wedding (ie: USTREAM) at the Majestic Colonial?

I'm interested in knowing has anyone tried to set up a laptop that will be able to show your wedding live? It would be for our friends and family was wasn't able to make that trip with us to the DR. Can this be done, if so, how did you do it?

I'm interested in hearing about this too. I think it would be awesome if resorts did this. If wireless reached the beach you would have no problem :)  I'm hoping to have a family member do some digital video and the upload it asap for our family who could not make it.

That's good to know that I'm not the only one thinking of this. and LOL ! @aaronlori for both of us being on FB. My wedding is coming up!! May21, 2011 - Saturday at 4 p.m. And it's a Gazebo wedding. My WC, Sandra did confirm this about the internet connection: ** We want to show our wedding live on the internet. At the resort is Internet access free? I think it's called webstreaming or there's the program called SKYPE. Has something like this been done before at the resort? [sandra de la Cruz] We are working on getting this service to be offered to our clients on a near future, however it is not ready yet, so I canâ€t guarantee that it will be for your wedding, If you are really interested, when having a ceremony at the gazebo we might be able to ask for internet connection there so if you bring a laptop and using Skype you will be able to do that. **Can you confirm if thereâ€s a cost and if so how much, for the internet connection and the length of time? [sandra de la Cruz] Well in case of having internet connection for the gazebo for the ceremony it will be US$50.00 Congrats to your upcoming nupitals aaronlori and deannamarie85!

Thanks for posting that! Looks like they are making progress with that option. I love SKYPE, hope they start making that possible for future brides. As long as you can get the internet connection there should be no issue with getting the laptop up and running with a live feed. I am getting married on the beach so that would be much more difficult perhaps than the beach.

Now the only possible problem could be how many family members can squeeze around the computer screen to watch? LOL

I'm getting married at PPR so experience at MC isn't totally applicable but still curious to find out how this goes if anyone tries to stream their wedding (live or upload after).  If wifi wasn't available on beach, I was looking at Ustream as an option from a droid or iphone assuming mobile reception was good (quality might be so-so though).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
