I think that is the best engagement I ever heard! How sneaky of him to get it all caught in pics! Guys should take note of that awesome idea. I had tears in my eyes. If any guy ever asks for engagement advice, I am totally telling your story.

 

Although I am glad that Matt didn't do that. I was sitting on the floor in my pj's eating chinese food when he asked me! Hahhaahahaa, ring drama over a few months lead to an unplanned proposal.

so heres my side of the story. shawn called me maybe a month ago and weve been sneaking around ever since - haha!!! so i was there at the fountain waiting for them to show up. never met either of them of course. i spy shawn and start moving around to get in position. but he goes down on one knee before i get where i want to be - oh no! so im walking and snapping and get where i want to be. after she says yes i move in. really close :) and am just shooting like crazy. so trish looks up and i can just see shes like who the hell are you? so i look at shawn and shake his hand and say - hey shawn, nice to meet you. trish is really looking puzzled now. then i look at her and say - hey trish im leigh miller. she kind of screams a little, her jaw drops and she starts hugging me like crazy. it was great. so fun to be a part of!!! so we go sit in the shade for a minute so trish can have a moment and quit shaking. it really was great. i feel so honored to have been there. then we shot all around central park for about an hour or so. and trish i knew your feet were killing you. im sorry!!! ladies she was a trooper!
I am literally in tears here are my desk, I have not read any farther, but I can't wait to read on. Trish, that is one amazing FH you have there. And Leigh, that was too sweet of you to do this with him. That is one of the best proposal stories I have ever heard. Congratulations Trish!!!

Okay, I just saw the pics now. They are amazing. Wow, this is such a great story and you have amazing pictures. I don't have any pictures either, I really wish I did. Although, I said "what the hell" before I said yes (I was in shock), so it would not have made for very good pictures.

Thank GOODNESS you posted this already. It was pure TORTURE last night to not log in to the Forum for fear of being asked if you got the bling. Lizzy mentioned it in the Shout box so I just signed off. I didn't want to have to lie.

 

I emailed Leigh right after I left you guys. Too funny!!!

 

Leigh - I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE those two shots. (You know I'm obsessed with you.)

 

Shawn did such a great job. Trisha forgot to mention that he had also called the TSA to find out what the deal is with taking the ring on the plane. He did so good!!!

 

Trisha and Shawn are just the cutest things. They are going to have a BLAST planning this wedding. Glad I got to see the bling and hear about the proposal in person. YIPPEE!!!!!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
