Good luck on your invites!  Post some pictures when you are finished.  I sent mine out early (in the middle of Jan.), so it has been nice just collecting RSVPs as they roll in.

My dress just came in, so I am going to try it on Sunday.  Then I need to start getting shoes, etc. so that I can start alterations too.  They told me they start doing them about a month before, but I figure by June 1st I want to start that.  How long before did they tell you they needed to start?

I have been collecting some things along the way for projects I want to do and welcome bags.  My latest thought is I got wooden numbers that I am going to paint metallic black as my table numbers.  Got the paint for the sandboxes I am using for my placecards as well.  I need the weather to get and stay warmer so that I can start working on some of these painting projects.

I also ordered 31 bags that I had embroidered for my bridesmaids and flower girls.  Next I need to get on the jewelry.  My FI's sister makes jewelry and I have some styles picked out, so I need to get quotes from her and finalize that.  I did order a little blue pearl to hang from my bracelet (for my something blue) with our initials and wedding date.  I can't wait to get that from the etsy seller.

I am almost as addicted to etsy as I am to BDW.com... LOL!

Thanks for the warm welcomes, girls :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hasn't got my invites out yet..I feel like I've left it WAY too long.  All my guests already have all the info, they've all visited our wedding website which has every possible detail included.  I really think I need some sort of check list to know all the things I still need to do!

Don't feel alone I am just mailing out my invites this Friday! I was debating back and forth at the last minute if I was even going to do them because I sent out save the sates at our one year mark with all of the information our guests would need and I know who is booked to come and who is not. However, there are a few stragglers in my group that have said they are coming and have not booked yet so I figured I would send invites to the people who are booked and those that have shown interest this way I can have a better idea of who to expect.

As far as lists go yes make as many as you need to stay organized! I have a file dedicated to the wedding on my computer and I have a ton of different documents labeled for different items...budget, guest list, wedding decor ideas, welcome bag items, wording for thank you cards, packing list, over all to do list...etc. these have been so helpful for me:)

My next few projects are my sand ceremony set and table numbers...in May I will work on our programs and place cards.

But ladies our countdown till July is really on!! I am so excited and feel like the time is really starting to pick up!!YAY!!

That is awesome!!!  We hit double digits April 14th... I can't wait!!!

How are things going?  I'm still feeling pretty calm so far.  Not sure how long that will last though.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
