I think your pictures are very inspiring and you should be really proud.  You got me out of bed this morning to do cardio core and balance.  I will thank you now because I think my hips may hate you in a little while cheesy.gif.  Anyway, keep it up.  You look awesome!

I had seriously become quite unmotivated when it seemed like I wasn't losing much because the measurements weren't showing. I look at the pics now though and realize my method of measuring was probably at fault-- I measured the smallest part of my waist which changed but everythign around it changed so much and I didnt take that into account. And I gained lots of muscle which discouraged me with the scale as well. However now that I can see a before and "after" pic (I say that because I'm still workng away at month 2) I can see that change happens that cannot necessarily be measured the way I measure. I only have 3 weeks until my wedding but I'm positive I can expand my results to become even more happy with my progress!!

I just hope you all have the same motivation and stick with it because I have never seen results like this from myself. I challenge all of you to show pictures eventually as well because it is the best motivation I have ever had. I would definitely suggest to do a before and after shot.

ok ladies, I'm about a week into month two and kinda stalling out a bit. so far in month two, I've managed to do an Insanity workout about every other day (or slightly more frequently) and am sore all over again. for those who have finished, how did you motivate yourself through the second month? these workouts are just SO hard and an HOUR LONG. I feel like I'm dying and then check the time, and there's still 30 minutes left! I'm wondering if I need to go back to month one until my muscles are stronger.

month one was ok because it was all new, but now I'm just hurting and worn OUT and tired of always needing a shower. how did you guys make it through? any advice? and what did you do after to maintain the results? I don't want to start over again next year - I'd love if I could keep feeling so good until the wedding (very ambitious, I know, but I'm planning to do a bunch of different activities).

thanks for any advice/motivation. : )

Hey Kelly -

Well I have no experience with month 2 yet but I would recommend sticking it out and pushing thru.  The program was designed to keep your body guessing and it makes you push past your comfort zone.  You will be tired, sore and exhausted but that is what is going to get you those INSANE results in just 60 days.  Keep at it, don't give up and know that you are going to look amazing after all this hard work!!

Kelly-I don't have any experience with Month 2 yet either (I'm in the last week of Month 1). But I was wondering the same thing...if I should repeat month one before starting month 2. Sorry I'm not much help! Just wanted to say that I was thinking of doing the same thing so I will be interested to see what everyone thinks!

I have to admit- I'm a few weeks into month 2 but things have been a little off track in a way lately. Not necessarily in my fitness but Insanity in general. I started playing soccer and got shin splints and starting running as well so I haven't been sticking as closely with insanity as I wanted-- but I wasn't perfect, I couldn't follow the month 2 videos 100% ... I probably still couldn't. Heck- the people on the video can't follow along for all the moves. I would say don't go back to month 1, I'd say stick with month 2 and do what you can. Never turn the video off partway but take more breaks if you want. The videos are specially designed with a lot of thought and research. If you aren't able to do all the moves the whole time its fine, but I think you should stick with it for sure. The point of this video is to push you BEYOND what is comfortable for you-- it is then that you will start seeing results, so if you go back and redo month 1 to prepare you for month 2, then you won't be pushing yourself as hard. That's just my opinion!!

I finished month 2 and it was tough in the beginning. The hardest was the 1st week. Trust me it will get better. Just as when you started month 1 every workout & week you felt stronger & were able to do the workouts longer, the same goes for month 2. Its kind of like starting all over again with the soreness & exhaustion but this time around you really have to "dig deeper" & keep pushing yourself. Take breaks if you need to but keep doing them! It gets easier & you will see even better results.

YOU CAN DO IT! Month 2 was, well, insane. I felt like I was wobbling/tired through the rest of the day until probably the last week of it.

My suggestions:

-Drink coffee before (not after) your workout (preferably black and at least 30 min before). It reduces muscle soreness!

-Make sure you are getting enough protein (a digestible source like whey protein concentrate (it's better than whey protein isolate))

-Drink lots and lots of water

-You may also try coconut water to replace electrolytes

Hey just wanted to give an update on my Insanity progress.  I fell off doing it my last week of Month 1 and into the beginning of my recovery week.  I have noticed results even though I haven't been 100% on board with the diet, ice cream and wine are too had to go without.  The first week was the worst so far but there still have been some days where I'm cursing Shawn T.  I'm looking forward to starting month 2 next week!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
