hang in there, jen. if you stick with it, I will, too. : ) also, maybe check the way your clothes fit. you may be losing without noticing but once you put on a pair of jeans that you've previously retired because they were too tight and they're looser, you'll know. : ) I'm sure you're doing all the right things.

On the UPSIDE...I did my fit test during my lunch hour and I have GREATLY improved! So I am going to just stick to everything and I agree-hopefully in another few weeks or so, I will have a huge loss :)

JenK - it sounds like you are gaining muscle... and muscle burns has a higher resting metabolic rate than fat, so if you keep building muscle, soon you will be burning more calories at rest, and the fat will come off.

Also- from my experience, watching portion control is important. The first month of Insanity, I was also working at a hospital where the hospital food is pretty disgusting, so I stuck with soup for a meal every day. I lost a substantial amount of weight. Now that that rotation is over AND I'm cooking dinner every day for me and my fiance, 2 lbs of the weight has come back... even after doing Month 2 of Insanity and we eat really healthy (lots of fruits/veggies/protein from fish/quinoa/etc). I still feel good and look better than I have in the past... but I know that I need to watch the portions and the weight will come off again.

And - don't always trust the scale, like KellyGrrrl was saying. Look at how your clothes are fitting - and, what should be more importantly, how you FEEL!

Good luck everybody! I finally finished the whole round of Insanity - and I am doing some Month 1 workouts again (as a "rest" week) - and I'm adding in running and lots of walking everyday! I feel amazing! You will too! :)

Ok I want to make sure I don't sound anorexic here - clarification - I ate soup for ONE of my three meals every day. And now I am eating three full meals, and one that I am cooking - and my fiance eats a lot - so I make a lot of food - and usually end up eating half. I should just give him most of it instead of dividing down the middle! His metabolism is a lot faster than mine!

I just came on here to say that I just (like 5 minutes ago) finished my FIRST month TWO workout (max interval circuit). It is totally and incredibly insane but I LOVED it!! It is soo much longer and harder than the first month, but they have it set up so that you can totally do it! They include different types of exercises so you aren't completely dead by the end of the circuit. If you can get through a month one workout, by month two you will be able to do that as well!!

However, now that I know how hard the second month workout is, I'm worried about over doing it with still adding running into my workout. I love to run and push myself as well, but I only have one month to my wedding so I don't want to get off track of Insanity.

Has anyone had any experience with doing month 2 and still going to the gym? Shoudl I eat more calories or something?

Congrats on making it to month two, I just made it through week one.  Wow this workout really lives up to its name?  I think it depends on the distance you will be running, you should increase your calories if your going to run hard and far, but not by a ton if your going for a light jog. Make sure you eat enough and drink enough fluids, it should be ok.

ok, as of 8pm tonight, I have officially finished month one! yaaaaaaaaayyyyyy! I'm really excited to see what the recovery week video is like and definitely looking forward to the upcoming week.

I'm down 1" in my waist and hips and .5" - 1" in each upper thigh. but more than that I feel soooooooo good and never thought it would work like this. I'm not saying the workouts were easy, but they are getting better, and I couldn't have imagined such changes in stamina and body shape in only a month.

hang in there, everyone. it's all worth it. : ) see ya in month two!

I am absolutely LOVING month 2. The workouts are longer and harder but they do it in a way that really works and doesn't kill you. One of them doesn't even repeat any moves throughout the workout so you don't think to yourself, man, I still have 2 more times of this!!  I'm only a week in to month 2 so we are pretty close!

My fiance and I are both doing Insanity.  He just started the second month and says he's getting sore all over again and says terrible things about Sean T cheesy.gif.  I keep starting over, but I'm still doing the workouts and getting better at them.  I can really feel a difference in my strength.  My endurance is getting better also.  I get married 4 weeks from today so I had better step it up and get more consistent.  Good luck everybody!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
