I don't think my FI will wear a tie.. he originally was going to wear a tux! But after seeing some pics of the handsome men in their khaki's on here, he's now thinking more casual which will be awesome.

We want it to be casual so Mark is not wearing a tie, but it really comes down to what you and FI want.

It really depends on how formal you want to be. We knew that we wanted a formal look so a tie it was for us. I think it depends on what time of day you get married also we got married in August just before sunset, it was perfect and we were not hot at all. I love how Everton looked in his suit and tie. My son also wanted to wear a tie it was really important to him, I think he felt very grown up walking his mom down the isle, he looked so proud.

Like stated above, it's all a personal preference. I think Matt isn't going to wear a tie. We haven't picked out his clothes yet, and I told him he can wear whatever he wants (with my approval).

I wanted my FI to wear a tan suit and white shirt, didn't really care if he wore a tie, but he couldn't find a tan suit that he liked, he's very particular about what he wants. So he ended up buying a black pinstripe suit, (boy is he going to be hot!) and he wanted to wear long sleeves and a tie. I think if I had gotten a simpler dress he would have been okay with being more casual, but he doesn't want to look underdressed next to me.

After the ceremony he'll ditch the coat and tie and probably roll up the sleeves. I even told him he could wear flip flops, but he won't listen!

I think it depends on the look that you're going for with your wedding if he wears a tie or not.

Jay is wearing a light tan suit with a white button down and tie. I haven't picked out the shirt and tie yet. I wanted to wait until my BM's get their dresses. I am also contemplating long or short sleeves too? I think I may have him try on both and see. He is going to be wearing the jacket during the ceremony anyway. Personnally, I like the tie look.

I like the no tie look, but it depends on what look you are going for. I want a "JCrewish" look. David is wearing a khaki suit, no tie. I like the shirt untucked; very casual, but haven't sold him on that yet. The GM are wearing short sleeve white linen shirts and khaki pants, no tie.
