It really depends on how formal you want to be. We knew that we wanted a formal look so a tie it was for us. I think it depends on what time of day you get married also we got married in August just before sunset, it was perfect and we were not hot at all. I love how Everton looked in his suit and tie. My son also wanted to wear a tie it was really important to him, I think he felt very grown up walking his mom down the isle, he looked so proud.

I wanted my FI to wear a tan suit and white shirt, didn't really care if he wore a tie, but he couldn't find a tan suit that he liked, he's very particular about what he wants. So he ended up buying a black pinstripe suit, (boy is he going to be hot!) and he wanted to wear long sleeves and a tie. I think if I had gotten a simpler dress he would have been okay with being more casual, but he doesn't want to look underdressed next to me.

After the ceremony he'll ditch the coat and tie and probably roll up the sleeves. I even told him he could wear flip flops, but he won't listen!

I think it depends on the look that you're going for with your wedding if he wears a tie or not.

Jay is wearing a light tan suit with a white button down and tie. I haven't picked out the shirt and tie yet. I wanted to wait until my BM's get their dresses. I am also contemplating long or short sleeves too? I think I may have him try on both and see. He is going to be wearing the jacket during the ceremony anyway. Personnally, I like the tie look.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
