I received my save the dates!

Recommended Posts

Hey Ladies!

So I wanted something that would let my guest know they are in for a wonderful and fun time for our November wedding. I am a wedding photographer and I have a designer that I use to design my marketing materials. I asked her to design my save the dates as well. Here is the final design and I love them!!! I dont think I need to send out invites because I think these will be enough but I am not sure if I should send rsvp cards a few months before or just call my 50 or so guest to ask if they are joining us? Any suggestions?

Ohaske,

Wow! That is a beautiful save the date! I am going to send out invitations in August, including RSVP's because I want to know who is coming and who is not. There are a few people in the family who are undecided, and I don't want any last minute surprise guests popping up. I already know who is booked from our travel agent, but I'm thinking formal invitations with an RSVP enclosure is what we are going to do. It is a wedding afterall, and people would RSVP if we were getting married here. cheesy.gif

I love the colors!  Its a lovely STD!  I chose to still send out invites and RSVP's.  People DO NOT send back RSVP's like they should.  I wouldn't necessarily spend the money on paper RSVPs but I would consider creating an online RSVP.

BTW, what part of MD do you live in?

They look great.  We originally were going to send out our STDs and then invitations later.  However, after we sent out our STDs pretty much everyone who knew they were coming told us right away.  We pretty much know now (4 months after sending out the STDs) who is coming and who is not.  We think its not neccessary to sent out invitations so we are not.  The few people that haven't RSVPd we just called and asked them and all of them said they weren't coming thats why they didn't RSVP.  I guess you can see how many responses you get from the STDs and go from there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
