I know there are other Virgin Island brides on here, but I have yet to see anyone else getting married on St John, USVI.  There are lots of weddings there, but I suppose many are much smaller than what most people here might be planning.

Hi St John Brides,

 

I willing be arriving on STJ next weekend to plan our November 2011 wedding. I use to live on St Thomas so that part of the Caribbean has a special place in my heart. Since I lived on St Thomas I wanted to get married on St John. It is a little harder since it's not a big place and there are not a lot of options.
 

Caneel Bay and the Westin are the only real resorts on island. Caneel Bay is beautiful but pretty pricey. Having your ceremony and/or reception at a villa is always a great option too. They have some beautiful homes on that island and there are plenty of wedding planners that can help you coordinate your day.

 

I will let you know how everything goes after my trip to ST John.

Hi Michelle, We are planning to have our ceremony on Peace Hill and then the reception at Ocean Grill (30-40 guests). I love Caneel but it is definitely way out of our budget :( Would love to hear how your trip goes and any recommendations you might have!

Any tips on reception locations in st John? We are getting married on trunk bay may 6, 2014 and i am way behind schedule!!

 

We are staying at the marriott in st thomas but due to logistics of traveling back and forth we are considering venues on st john for dinner! Any suggestions?
