Cheap Maracas For Reception!

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Does anyone have any tips or recommendations on whether to ship the items to the resort in advance or carry everything in? The resort, Excellence Playa Mujeres, has told me that items with "Made in China" tags as well as items without receipts sometimes get caught at Customs if you get searched. One of their brides had to pay  $500 importation tax to bring in beach towels. Granted I am not bringing those but curious as to what you may have heard.

Thanks in advance.

Dana

I checked 5 bags and carried on 2 and my wedding dress.  I had ZERO problems in customs in Mexico.  Plus it felt better knowing where all of my things were at all times.

Add me to the list of brides super pleased with Amols!

http://www.amols.com/browse/search?search=maracas

I ordered maracas from them and got them in 3 days!  No special shipping, just the regular option.  They look fantastic, all with different designs (some flowers, some sea turtles, some chili peppers with sombreros).  Of the 24 I ordered, 1 was broken, but I e-mailed them a photo this morning and heard back within 5 minutes that a replacement would be sent out.  Very friendly customer service!

Amols is great! I ordered the bright blue though was convinced that they sent me 30 of the light blue color by accident. I emailed them about my concern and they immediately sent me (free of charge) a bright blue and light blue to compare. Well it turns out that they did sent me the wrong color however, even though the two blues look distinctively different online, in person there is barely a noticeable difference. I'm going to just keep the light blue and plan on writing them tomorrow to let me know. Their costumer service has been great thus far.

Amols was great for the maracas! I put maraca tags on mine that said "Stand and shake with all your might, to see the groom kiss his bride tonight" I ordered the custom maraca tags from an esty seller DarbyCards. They were great to work with, I definitely recommend them as well to those looking for tags to put on your maracas.

These maraca posts helped me convince fiance they were a good idea lol! We are having a peacock type themed wedding with purple and teal, and had first considered wine and bottle opener ideas. However, these maracas from amols.com were just too cool to pass up! We ordered a pair for each of the 40 guests, in purple and the seafoam green! Only came to 123 dollars WITH 45 BUCKS IN SHIPPING! Can't go wrong. We're also attaching mini bubbles with tags to the wedding programs at the ceremony:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
