Totally random...bullfighting in PV for the guys?

Recommended Posts

I know every time I'm there I pass by the bullfighting spot on the way South from the airport - I think it's in the Marina area. The sign says fights are like every Wednesday or something...the day may be off but it's once a week for sure. I don't know what months they do it though...sorry I guess I'm no help on this...lol

We went last time I was down there... it's a whole different kind of experience.

I have no idea why I agreed to even go... I found it to be horrible. I can't even explain how bad it was. There was lots of cheering and partying going on but all I could focus on was the poor lil bull. Ahhh it brings back icky memories. We ended up leavig because of my whining.

So if it's an al guys event I say go for it. I wouldn't go though.

I agree, I didn't have any desire to go to one either. I think it's a horrible thing to do to these animals. In fact Cain didn't even want to ride the horses in Cabo because he didn't like the fact that they were in the sun and people were riding them up and down the beach all day long. (I was holding onto the hopes that they rotated the horses or gave them breaks)

I feel the same way Tammy. I can't stand seeing animals treated badly.

For the bullfighting.....

make sure they know what they are getting into. I have never been to one, nor will I ever go, but I know people who have. The fights are very bloody, gory and the bull ends up dead. A friend of mine who went said that by the middle of it quite a few people left and more than a few were in tears. Including some men.

I realize that bullfighting is a tradition in some senses, but when they do it in tourist areas it is just there to make money and put on a show for the gringos. If they are ok with watching a bull getting stabbed repeatedly, tortured with spears and ultimately killed, I say go for it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
