Okay I have a question already!!! About your room at Sandals.. my FI and I are going back and forth with the swim up room and the private pool room.... Would you say there was much privacy with the swim up room? I like the idea of how the private pool room is secluded..

- Thanks Satara

HI Satara!  The swim up lagoon is semi-private. We were the second to last room, so it was a bit more private infront of the room but some of the rooms are near the walk ways and one restaurant.  We lucked out.  We didn't see the private plunge pool rooms (Millionare suites) but my  main isssue was there wasn't beach front for that option and I love the ocean and wanted the ocean view.  We went during slow season so not alll the rooms were booked and the lagoon never had more than 5 people in it. Each room has it's own section and then there is a main section. Since it's all couples, everyone is just chillin'. We loved the lagoon and had the option to go to the millionaire suite for a few days ( we were there for 10) but declined once we saw the swim up lagoon!  Here is a picture taken from an I PHONE at sunset from right outside our room.  That is the hot tub to the left.  313612_650742939273_50200716_33715318_2103592478_n.jpg

Thanks for the information!!! We are going to go with the plunge pool room!! We are staying at Beaches Negril for 8 days and moving to Sandals Negril for 8 more days!! We will have a beachfront room at the Beaches Resort so I don't mind that it is not Beachfront at the Sandals!! I just want the privacy!! It'll be our honeymoon!! LOL!!!

I am getting married in July 2012, but Renne WAS my WC, but she is no longer there and it's now CHloe. She was very good and did not try to sell me anything, but missed giving me some of the expenses I will have to pay, like that $250 set up fee for wedding. I am really excited, my main concern is getting all my favors, decorations and gifts for guests there. Any ideas or suggestions. I was just gonna buy 1 big suitcase and put everything in there. I am using the gazebo and having the reception on the Katt Cruise since the extra fees for a reception at resort is too high ( just like having reception at home), gotta pay for music, seatings, liquor service, table service. I want to decorate wedding ceremony, but I am not sure what to get. I was thinking beach balls and rose petals, but the rose petals cost $60 a bag and she said I need 3 bags...sheesh. Oh well, I am so excited though.

I am getting married at Beaches negril, July 2012. let me know how you make out with bringing all the favors and decorations through customs. We asked UPS how much too ship , it's $400 per box and the resort said you must be there to sign for it. I will take my chances with customs, there main concern is selling stuff and when they see it's for wedding, it should be ok. Any ideas? I am doing Beautiful Beginnigs Wedding, at gazebo and having the reception on the Katt Cruise since having reception at Beaches is too much money, its like paying for a reception at home, this way it's different & then we will all go to dinner after the cruise.

Another questions girls...

PHOTOGRAPHERS

Do you know if the photographer from the resort can be with you the whole wedding day or is it just for the ceremony? I keep going back and forth on the photographer... I really don't want to sepnd $4000.00 plus on  a photographer flying them down and such then pay for the package.. Who did everybody use?

As for the photographer, I am not sure how long he stays with you, I would think for the entire wedding & reception, but Iam doing a cruise for reception and they are charging $100 per hour extra for him to be on the cruise with us, I opted out and instead I will put cameras in everyones gift bag and ask them to take pictures for us.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
