Beaches Negril Brides 2011

Same goes here... booking is so slow and I feel like I can't do anything (name cards, welcome bags, etc. ) unless I get a final count on guests. The waiting is killing me. Lol!

Who all is getting married at Beaches Negril this year?  If so, where are you at with the planning and what month are you getting married?

Hi,

I'm getting married Oct 6, 2011 at Beaches Negril.  I've already spoken to Renee and have decided to go with the Visions In White Theme as well as the Cocktail Reception just not sure if I will do the 30 minutes or the 1 hour. I've already bought my dress which is NOT white but a Champagne color and now have to find a dress for my daughter. I've sent out Official Engagement Announcements as I only got engaged in May but still on the fence about how to notify my extended family of my intentions to have a DW because I am planning an intimate wedding that would exclude and upset a lot of people. Other than that, I am still waiting on confirmation from the selected few people that I actually have invited so that I know how many people will be there.  And.....i've started doing my countdown!!!

Hi! Your flowers are very pretty!  I went with silk flowers from afloral. The aren't considered real touch but I was surprised that they are so beautiful!!  I couldn't believe the price Beaches was charging for flowers that you couldn't even bring home with you!!!

Mine is Renee and I haven't been in contact with her much lately. I am paying for the 3 hr reception for abot 45 guests as well as the dj and a photo/video package but I probably won't be able to pay until like weeks before the trip which I know may be a problem. I am also concened about the heat and the sand fleas!! How is planning going on your part?

Hi Bride2Be143!!  I am getting married August 7th at 4pm.  Renee is my wedding planner as well.  I know she was on vacation for a week but she should be back now.  I have a small group so we aren't going to do a reception with a dj but we are getting a photo and video package.  We chose to get married in the garden so I am hoping to avoid the sand fleas on that day!!  I also am going to either carry my bouquets in a suitcase or mail it to the resort so it will arrive while I am there.  I am so excited but stressed at the same time!

If you really end up sending out your bouquets before you end up going down. Please leave details about this. Example: When you mailed them, price points and if you received them on time or not. I would honestly spend the extra money to send things down but I am SO afraid of customs and not getting my things on time...

I was worried about going through customs with my items at the airport.  Since the flowers are silk there shouldn't be an issue with sending them through FedEx or UPS.  I did check with my WC to make sure it was ok to send welcome bags.  She said that I just had to be there on the date of arrival to sign for them.  I will let you know how it works out!

Thank you!! I am really concerned about actually sending them and having the packages going through customs. Like will they actually get there in time?!?!? I am really interested in step by step what you end up doing. Which carrier you use which service you end up choosing to send it.. etc!! Thank you SO much!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
