Hi ladies!!  I just started looking into a destination weddings!  Beaches Negril is on my list of places.  So I was hoping maybe someone would able able to share some of the prices they were offered.  Like for the ceremony, the officiant, music, photography, video and what are all the different packages.

Ok so I went to UPS and they were charging around $300 to send the flowers and you had to be there for arrival.  I decided to just take mine with me in an extra suitcase.  Since they weren't real it was no problem.  I just put bubble wrap around them and packed away!  I had to reshape them just a little when we got there but they were fine!  I am so happy I got my own flowers because I decided to use the flowers that Beaches gives complimentary for my flower girl and I would have been soooooo disappointed.  I paid for for Bouts for the fathers and was not happy with them either...not for the cost anyway.

I am really interested in step by step what you end up doing. Which carrier you use which service you end up choosing to send it.. etc!! Thank you SO much!

Here is some advice everyone for Beaches Negril....take BUG SPRAY as much as you can take!!  If you are doing OOT bags put it in for your guests!!!  I had bug spray and used it and still got bit up!!  There are sand fleas on the beach at night and in the resturants there are mosquitos.  I can't say it enough just make sure you have the spray!!!

Okay girls.. I am FULL of questions.. I just booked my wedding and have received my "wedding kit" my session is not with Chloe until Jan. and I am full of questions.. So I am going to see if anybody can answer some of them!! We are having about 50 guests and are planning on the 3-hour sit down reception for $75.00 per person. I saw in this thread that it was discounted to $60.00 if you had more than 10 rooms booked.. Was this promotional or something they offer all of the time?

1) Has anybody booked their steel drum band? $600.00 per hour seems a bit steep...?

2) The Catamaran cruise.. says it occupies 1 - 110 passengers and it is starting at $1,950.00... How do the prices increase.. Isn't $1,950.00 enough?

3)Is anybody or has anybody used Martha Stewart's champagne glasses for $100.00 or is it better to bring your own?

4) Do you get menu choices for the dinner service? and choices for hors deouvres?

5) We have a vegan coming.. can the resort accommodate these special food requests?

6) How do you do your "first dance"?

7) Did anybody or has anybody made an inquiry to bring in an outside hair stylist/makeup artist? I am looking to book Rashel Edwards and she wants a 30% down payment but seeing here they don't let in outside vendors is that what she would be considered?

Thanks ahead of time girls!!!

Hi, Congrats. My wedding is October 15 @ Beaches Negril. I'm ready ready ready lol. I'll try to help you as much as I can. The $75 reception is discounted to $60 all the time, once you have the 10 rooms booked. Something about the complementary cocktail being $15 so they take $15 off.

1. I'm still stuck on whether or not to do the DJ, mento band or both. I read somewhere on here that someone got a 1 person mento band and 1 hr DJ. They said the mento was nice.

2. My brochure says the Katt cruise is 1-25 for $2000. My brochure is dated 2/18/2011 maybe its old. Which one do you have?

3. I'm taking my own glasses. I got them engraved. Found them on sale on the knot.

4. The brochure should have the different menu choices. There is also an upgraded menu, which is more per person.

5. I have that same question. Cant help you there.

6. Another great question. I dont fully know the answer, however to my understanding the reception is outdoors and you can rent a dance floor.
7. They dont allow outside vendors, but will allow yuor guests to perform services. Once of my guests/friends is the photographer. I asked the W.C. about that and she said its fine as long as she is a guest and uses no equipment. A makeup artist is different I assume. She will be in your room I guess so she will need a day pass. Or are you going to her? If thats the case you will should be fine.

Hope I helped a little

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
