Beaches Negril Brides 2011

Recommended Posts

Krystina, you make a very good point.  I checked out "etsy.com" and just searched for silk wedding bouquets and they are lovely!  I'm going to do what you are doing.  I agree, I really don't think they will grab it out of our hands.

Dymond6 - it's been a month? Yikes!  So, with 40 guests are you going to have Beache's so called private dinner/reception?  Do you have an idea of how that area will look like?  I just find it a bit hard to gauge as I'm just trying to picture it all in my head.  You have to make sure everyone is fairly entertained.  Did you have to pay for the 40 headcount upfront?  That was one of the questions I am waiting on a reply from Renee for.

Bride2Be143 - Did you opt for the mento band at all?

By the way, are you guys all using the resort's hair and make-up artist?

MyMy, yes I will go with the private reception. The $75 one, since we have 10 or more rooms, it will be discounted to $60. There is a time frame to get the money to the resort, I think its either 30 or 45 days, I would have to check. The ask for a guest list and all of that. My wedding is in October, so not many have booked yet, so I'm kind of estimating 40. We will see what I really get.

The area... its outside, so you will be in sand, I ran across a guests pictures on one of these threads, if I happen across it again I will post it. But from what I understand tables are in the sand under a wooden tent??? I cant find the correct word at this hour. My question will be where is the dance floor. I will have to pay for the guests upfront I believe. To my understanding everything is paid for 30 or 45 days upfront.

Hair/Makeup... My sister is a cosmetologist and my maid of honor, we will try my hair style out that I have chosen one of these days. For makeup *sigh* I may have to break down and pay the $100 for them to do it. There is a $30 trial charge and a $70 wedding makeup charge. Such a ripoff!!! I'm praying that my makeup artist cousin comes with us.

Krystina, your flowers are absolutely stunning. Are they silk or the real touch I've been hearing about?

BTW I say this on another thread, for those looking for OOT Bags. Dollar Tree has these cute totes. When I saw them on another thread I had to see them in person, I figured they would be cheap looking , but I went just in case and I fell in love. I bought 20. I will either do an iron on or embroidery, or both. Here is the link: http://www.dollartree.com/new-arrivals-seasonal/seasonal/big-polyester-beach-totes/215c277c277p310914/index.pro?method=search

I emailed my WC about it , just waiting to hear what she has to say about it.

Once you find out about the delivery of the flowers I would love to know the outcome!!

Sllefebvr... she asked her WC, they said she couldnt pick them up and bring them onsite, so I'm sure they wont allow delivery lol. But if I decide to go with real bouquets I'm using my florist and I'll put the bouquets in bags and be done with it.

I'm trying to be good and look into silk ones though.

So you are going to try and transport real flowers?!?  I am starting to consider those real touch flowers everyone has but I'm afraid of the quality and the look... i'll probably end up buying a sample to see.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
