RENAISSANCE ARUBA WEDDING - HELP AND QUESTIONS

Hey everyone :)

So my financee and I have FINALLY decided on the Renaissance Aruba for our destination wedding location.  After researching and researching and researching (I feel like I know everything possible about every resort in the Carribean) we felt that Aruba was the best choice.

We have received pricing for flight and hotel and it's actually much more affordable than I thought it would be...only question to anyone who can help me out...

We want to book our flight/hotel packages before pricing goes up, but I do not now how to book my wedding with the resort.  I don't want to fly everyone out there to realize that there are no wedding dates left.  I have contacted Juney (wedding planner for the resort) but he has not yet responded.  Does anyone know the process of how I go about booking my actually "wedding" date with the resort?? I need to make sure this is done before we fly out there.

Thanks everyone :)

P.S.  If anyone has any other info they can provide me, I would be forever grateful.  You can never have too much information.

Thanks again :)

Sounds like you might have to wait until you hear back from the resort to finalize a date.  Generally they have some sort of form that you fill out, and put in a deposit.  If the resort has something like a contact questionnaire on their website, that may help expedite things.

Congrats and happy planning!!!

Congrats on deciding on a resort! For us that was definitely the hardest part!  Each resort has a different way of going things.  If you haven't received an email back maybe try calling them.  To book our date I just called down to the resort directly and found out available dates and then was able to choose one.  That might be your fasted option.  It tends to take awhile for resorts to email back.  I would definitely book your wedding date first, before booking flights.

Congrats on the upcoming wedding! I am getting married at the Renaissance later this year and had the same problem you had receiving a response quickly. I ended up giving them a call and they sent me a proposal to fill out. Once you fill out to the proposal and put down a deposit you can secure a date. They tend to take a while to respond to emails, so don't worry if you haven't heard anything yet they will eventually respond. But if you are in hurry, I would try giving them a call. Hope this helps : )

Congratulations and welcome to the forums! My only advice is to be patient and wait for a response... or you could also call and leave a message. I can tell you that these wedding coordinators are working full time taking care of brides and are often overwhelmed with the numbers of email they get. I often see them at a wedding coordinating the events going on that day and then working on their laptops when they have a minute. It can often take over a week to hear from them... so get all your questions lined up and organized so they can answer them all at once.

We are often used to emailing with people and almost having a conversation with the number of emails sent back and forth... it doesn't work that way.

Best of luck!

Lincoln

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
