Gran Bahia Prinicpe Punta Cana - Gazebo/Beach

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies,

Does anyone know if you get to pick where you want to have your ceremony when you get there as opposed to choosing beforehand?

I ask because I rather be able to see the locations before I choose...

If anyone has been married there already - any recommendations as to where to have the ceremony (beach or gazebo)?

Thanks!!!

Well I picked the "white gazebo" if anyone is keeping up with this thread who has the same interests.

I made this decision due to privacy concerns.

Basically, I saw pictures of ceremonies on the beach at this resort and I was creeped out - mainly because of the loads of ignorant people that are able to get right up to your ceremony and end up making it look like a mosh pit and then the yellow caution tape they put around the ceremony area.

Hey,

I'm also looking at getting married there and am wondering about the ceremony location.  I am very worried about all the gawkers.  We've decided on a sunset ceremony (5pm) and are hoping the beach will have cleared out, but are hoping to be able to change to the white gazebo if it doesn't look like the beach will be any less busy in the evening.  Any suggestions?

My daughter just returned from the Bahia Esmeralda - she had the gazebo wedding on the beach by the Amber at 5:00 in the afternoon and you know what ladies -there were people still on the beach but it was fun -you are focused on all your guests anyway and you don't really notice the other people plus - it is the most exquisit setting with the ocean behind you -and the gazebo is a little higher than right down on the beach - don't count it out ladies - have a look before you make your decision - I thought it might be a little impersonal as well but it was actually wonderful.

The photographer that the hotel supplies - super super pictures and really reasonable.  He had some excellent shots - you will be really happy with him if you are using him.

Well I saw some pretty ridiculous pictures of some very ignorant tourists getting right up close to the ceremony (I would attach pictures but the website is giving me some issues right now).

I'm easily distracted lol.  If I see some fat man in a thong bikini...I will notice! lol

I just want to ensure that my ceremony is very intimate and while I appreciate wanting to have the beautiful scenic background of the ocean and the beach - I won't lie when I say I just found the gazebo to be stunning as well, so I'm not disappointed that I won't be right on the beach.  We will be taking pictures there anyways.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
