I have the monogram saved as a picture, so I was able to upload it... Has your TA been to Ocean? I really can't decide also, I like both place equally but for different reasons!

 

That's why I decided on a knock-off, every penny we can save from my planned DIY projects and my dress goes towards the wedding, excursions and the cruise. We have about 50 guests as well, maybe more... yikes! lol but it's what we wanted to do for our guests since they are traveling and spending a lot to be with us on our day.

It looks so good! It looks even better for the price, I am so happy for you! Are you pleased with it so far?  Did you send them a pic of the dress and ask them to make it or did you know they could make it? How fun.

 

No news today, still waiting on prices. My TA said she is getting closer to around $119 for double occ.  That being said she thinks they aren't going to go for the every sixth room free. I just don't get this...why advertise it when you are not willing to give it to people? She is assuring me that I will be happy with NOW, she has several Mexico NOW brides who said only good things about their experiences. Is it May 1 yet? Ha ha! Maybe once they get up and rolling this will become an easier process. Until then, I just wait!

Thanks, I went on their site and looked for the closest one they make to the dress that I wanted and then just sent them pictures of how to create it. They were great to work with and for the price I paid I think they made the dress well. I'm happy with that decision. Atleast I have something off my list! We have less than a week to wait for air rate! yay! haha. This is really going to be the deciding factor so I'm crossing my fingers! That's crazy they won't offer you the 6th room because I've gotten that deal from 2 other TA's that I asked quotes from. Well, back to waiting for us!

Apple Vacations is honoring the 6th room free deal. See if your agent will book it through them.  That is what my agent is doing.

AcutieRN, you really should push for the promo especially when we are getting it... that could save you a lot of money and your guests as well depending on how you use the credit for it...

Deesanders, thanks! I was hesistant as well but I knew I had to take a leap of fate if I wanted to keep my dress cost down... I've looked at a lot of dresses that's within my budget and didn't feel comfortable settling, so the knock-off route was the next best thing. But I definitely did a whole lot of research before I committed with dressilyme. I know that thread is sssoooo long now, but if you really are considering it, I would read through everything and look at works that has been posted on there. It really helped me out!

Hey guys!

I got it all worked out, FINALLY!!! My TA quoted me a price this morning of $117 per person for double occupancy for 7 nights including transfers. I also will be getting every sixth room free. This is it for me, its the deal I wanted! All of my family is staying for 7 nights, so we should have 2 free rooms. We are giving those to our mom's just for being our moms! Yeah, so excited. She is drawing up a contract and I should be good to sign it soon.  I am pretty happy this worked out, I really wanted to stay with NOW. 

JB:Have you gotten any pricing for kiddos at NOW? She was unsure and was going to let me know,looks like we will have three kids all 2 and under. And you mentioned flight pricing coming out soon? Do you know how far they post it in advance? My TA was thinking I wouldn't know anything until at least summertime.  Chris, my FI, is saying flights may be cheaper to book in the fall since gas will be cheaper then. I don't know if I can wait that long!

OK ladies I got my rates!!!

 

NOW:

For 3 nights, 4 days for Adults it is 407.16 and kids are 236: That's including transfers, and taxes as well. I just recieved the contract so now I have to read over the policies and make sure I am not going to be ripped off!! I am also getting the 6 room free deal! My TA said they don't credit you till after the travel, so another words you don't get the money back till you get back?? JB what did yours tell you about that?

 

JB, Yea I have started to read that forum, and it is sooo much!! It's kind of funny, some of the arguing going on though.. I was like wow!!  Also JB I don't know if your travel agent has told you but as for the Ocean resort, my TA told me that the resort is great if you are going to have TONS of kids, but if you are going to only have a few she wouldn't recommend it. I am only going to have a few kids with us so we want to make sure that we are going to have something for both the adults and kids not just the kids, you know. I just thought I would let you know about that.

 

I also got the group rates for the Barcelo Palace but I think I might be booking the NOW!! I am going to compare the wedding packages in a few and see what fits our needs better.

 

Does anyone know if the Devine package includes the DJ in 2012?? I would perfer the DJ!
