"New Resort Opening May 1 2011" NOW LARIMAR ~ PUNTA CANA

Recommended Posts

Hello ladies! it's been a while since I've logged in, but it's nice to see all the new posts.

Congrats, TJ! It's good to have another NOW bride!

Moni, I booked HDC few weeks ago as well. I am sure our pictures will look absolutely beautiful. I have an idea for the resort photographer, since we can't swap the services. I'll ask him/her to take pictures of us some other day maybe, something like a romantic photo shoot on the beach. If the photographer belongs to the resort, I can't see why they won't be able to accommodate this. it will simply be awkward to have 2 professional photographers at the wedding cheesy.gif

Also, you girls mentioned Caribel's name and the person I've contacted always was Emy Rose. She was very prompt every time and my wedding confirmation came in few hrs after my payment. Are there 2 wedding coordinators other there?

Katusha, I think Emy is sort of like an assistant to Claribel... I think her title says sales of some sort but I think with all the weddings that they arrange there are others that help coordinate everything. I have been in contact with her as well, she's has been the one to respond to most of my questions. I just cc everything to Claribel as well to make sure that they both have my info.

I hope someone gets an answer with the DJ and Photog soon, why are they making it such a mystery? We are actually in the market for purchasing our first house! So I might have to scratch hiring a photog and DJ altogether if it means saving some money to be used towards our purchase. I'm crossing my fingers that this compromise would not be a regret on our big day!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!!  Too bad none of you ladies are getting married in the time frame that I am;  my sister does professional photography and she is coming to my wedding to do my photogrpahy for me.  www.aliciaprice.com  Check out her blog pictures and stuff, they are pretty good :)

Moniwoni, those are great earrings!  I have been looking at similar stuff on Etsy as well.

Quick question... what does OOT bags mean?  I know what they are just not the exact acronym LOL.

I am looking forward to getting more of the details done and complete so that I can relax a little bit!! I have a friend flying in this weekend to try on bridesmaid dresses.  Cannot wait to have this chore complete!!

TJ, I just assumed they're out-of-town bags :) I never bothered to really ask what the acronyms really stand for since it made sense! ha! Your sisters portfolio looks good! It's really awesome to have a photog that you can be confident about and trust, lucky you!

Thanks Moni, I think I got the same info on the photog, just waiting on the DJ info...

Thanks! I did not formal for me and the FI to send to our friends and more formal ones (our last names and it actually saying 'save the date') for our parents. It was super affordable and we got them in five days. I highly recommend using Moo.com.

Hmm, Moni, went on there and only saw three pictures involving a bride or what looked like a wedding. Did Claribel say you had to use him or are they simply recommending him?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
