These are pictures my SIL took... I am having trouble uploading them so i apologize if they show up more than once. It seems I can only get two in a post.....

You look so pretty!  Did you upgrade the gazebo decor, bring your own or is that what the package comes with?

The pictures turned out pretty good and the video is great, can't stop watching it!! I don't think you have anything to be worried about if you use the resort photographer.

Were the 24 photos from the ceremony only or did they take some pics at the cocktail hour?  How about the video, is it just the ceremony?  how long is it?

I am dying to get my professional pictures to see how it looked when it first went on!

I hope you had an amazing day.

9:30!  Thats a long day!  Was that the time of your spa appointment?  What time did your photgrapher come?

Bridal Suite, well worth the $150.00, I started my day at 11:30 am. Got my toes repainted, hair done and makeup done. Some of my bridal party had their hair done at the spa others were able to use spa's curling irons, makeup (they have an amazing variety of Mac makeup you can use) etc. There was plenty of room for all of us to get ready in.

The cake was amazing (marble with chocolate filling)!! We had 55 people including us and we didn't upgrade the cake and good thing we didn't because there was plenty left over. The lobster and steak meal was the best meal we had all week. The resort DJ rocked, played great music!!! The servers at the reception were top notch, I never had an empty glass of champagne all night long!!

I will post more pictures once I get the pictures from my photographer, hope these help. Let me know if you have any questions!

ok ChrisDeluca lol.  I think I can put all my questions here now.  Here goes:

- Was your wedding at 4 if not what time?

- At the bridal suite

-- Did they charge you for the champaign and fruit plates?

-- How many girls did you have there?

-- How much did the ones who take advantage of the services pay?

- what time did your reception start/end?

- Did you guys do anything afterwards?

- Did any of your guests have garden rooms?  Did they have terrible views?

- How far were they from the main area?

- Who was your wedding coordinator?

You mentioned there were a few hiccups, would you mind elaborating?

I think thats it for now :)

@ mvee- - yes my wedding was at 4 pm. -The champagne and fruit is included in the $150.00 charge. -I had my bridal party of 3 plus my 3 mother's plus my 3 flower girls and their 3 mother's and both of my photographers at one point, the room can hold a good number. Plus your hair gets done in another room in the spa. -Adult updos were $60 I believe and $20 for my flower girls. - my reception started at 7 pm until 10 pm. - our plan was the disco after but for some reason it was closed that night. The "disco" was being held in the courtyard that night, which just wasn't the same! - no all of my guests stayed in either the bavaro building or Punta cana building. We all had tropical views. I believe the garden view rooms are a bit of a walk to everything!! I would say about a 10 minute walk if not more to the beach. -my coordinator was Luisa. - the fountains were on and off throughout the whole ceremony and during cocktail hour they actually flooded over. The guitarist showed up well after the cocktail hour started ( not his fault the ceremony was so quick). There was a miscommunication about the bridal party flowers, the wedding day there was none for them but Luisa quickly thought on her feet and we used the flowers from the ceremony. Since I brought all my own decorations after the wedding they were supposed to get delievered to our room but never did. Sunday they were closed and we were leaving Monday so it was a little bit of a hassle trying to get a hold of someone who knew where it was. I just remained calm, nothing could ruin the day!

@mvee- it was mostly of just the wedding, they took 82 total and wanted $200 for all of them...we just took the 24 included in our package. -yes the video is also just of the wedding and they get your guests to say something to you on it, it can get pretty funny. The video is about 25 minutes, also depends on how many people talk.

Actually that was just on our way to the reception... we stopped by the fountain set up for a few pictures.

We got married on the beach.

I believe that was the set up the whole week we were there though :-)

It was a long day but seriously the best day ever and it didn't seem long at all.

It was very relaxed

We had the bridal room from 9 to 2.. and there was 5 of us who were getting hair done so we started early. Other guests decied to get their hair done there as well.. We all loved our hair.

Our photographer was schedule to come at 10:30 but showed at 11.

11 - 12:30 Guys Pictures

12:30 - 2 Girl's pictures.. the bridal suite has a very nice open area with couches for pictures

2 - 4:30ish we did all the wedding party ( it ended up being mostly me pictures)

Beach for 5pm

Group pictures

Reception at 6

So glad we did it that way as we have approx 1500 professional pictures coming.... and it was spread out.

The morning at the SPA was great and it was the best day of my life. I never felt rushed and I got to enjoy it :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
