"New Resort Opening May 1 2011" NOW LARIMAR ~ PUNTA CANA

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!  I am new to this site and am loving it already.  My wedding date is August 6, 2013 and I feel so far behind.  I still do not know what package to go with.  I am having 36 guests and don't want to short them, but want to make it as inexpensive as possible.  Also, I am going with the resort photographer...have any of you worked with them?  Can't wait to hear all the suggestions!

Thank you all so much!

Hi everyone! I'm new to the site so I hope I'm not double posting:) my wedding is August 6, 2013 and I feel so far behind! I'm hoping this site puts me at ease! I am still unsure what package to go with as I have 36 people going. I want my guests to have an awesome tine but don't want to spend a fortune. Any suggestions? I'm also going with the resort photographer...has anyone else?:) thank you all so much!

OMG! Wow! I arrive the day of your wedding! Our wedding is Friday 8/9 and we have about the same amount of people coming as you do! We are going with the middle package but we are still undecided on the sit down dinner or the buffet. We are having one outside vendor, HDC Photography, but everything else through the resort. I am bringing my own centerpieces to save $. Are you doing welcome bags? What do you still have on your to do list. I felt like I was really ahead, but as the time is quickly approaching I feel like I am so far behind!!! Let me know if you have any ?s!!

I just don't know what to do:) I am doing welcome bags...so far I have koozies, flip flop manicure sets, and door hangers. I need to keep adding! What about you? Thank you sooooo much!!

Yay!!! So glad I found someone at the same resort and that's day is so close to ours! Are you from the states? I live in PA. As for the reception we are doing the resort sound system, but hopefully will have saved enough for the DJ by wedding time. If not I think just an iPod will be ok for the reception since only 3 hrs, but we are doing a pool reception so we didn't need the dance floor. Our welcome bags have mugs, flip flop playing cards, packets of meds, key and tip money holders, and chapstick. I think thats it!! I will get pics up as soon as i start putting them together. Oh yea door hangers too, although I am having issues trying to figure them out on vistaprint! As far as decorations, so far I have ordered organza table overlays and organza sashes, and I am still trying to decide on the centerpieces. I also have starfish bottle openers as our favors. We are doing a starfish theme and colors are coral and white/cream. I am now in the midst if making our monogram shell cake topper, and still want to make the dress hangers using the tutorial I found on here. Ughhhh so much to do!!!! But I am soooooo excited!! Do you have your dress? How many are in your wedding party?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
