"New Resort Opening May 1 2011" NOW LARIMAR ~ PUNTA CANA

Recommended Posts

@Jennifer8913- I am looking for 2 purple and 2 lime green kissing balls. I refuse to pay $200 + each for the gazebo floral decorations. I thought these might be a nice little touch and would be able to use them again for the gazebo near the pool area.

@thesportsgal- I am glad to hear everything worked out in the end, can't help what the weathers gonna do.. I would love to see some pictures....Where did you have your ceremony? And did you get to choose your own songs or did they just play whatever when you and your bridal party walked down the isle?

Our ceremony was at the fountain.  We picked our own songs and Francina played them on an ipod and then we used the guitarist that comes with the package for the cocktail hour.

Have you heard of Vitamin String Quartet?  They are amazing and do string versions of EVERY song you can imagine.  They played Sweet Child O'Mine while people were sitting down (I know it sounds crazy but once you hear it, it's beautiful ;), Coldplay's Yellow for the bridal party, I walked down the aisle to Cat Steven's Here Comes My Baby and our recessional was Hallelujah (not a slow version, it's this really cool fast version  but I forget where it's from).

@thesportsgal- I am definitely going to look them up forsure...I've been trying to ask Luisa about the guitarist and the ipod but the language barrier got the best of us...I wanted to do the same thing Ipod during the ceremony and use the guitarist for the cocktail hour but she told be that its no transferable...Which is kind of ridiculous since it's included and you should be able to use it whenever you want

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
