Are they staying at the resort? If so then should be ok, but if staying outside, it's $150 per person

And i think the by resort not allowing us to switch it for another service and use the credit toward something else is stupid...

Outise photographers that do a nice job: Blue Lagoon, HDC.... and they have 1 photographer come out, so u only pay one vendor fee of 150. good luck

Thanks for you input! Just 1 question about sending just one photographer~~ what if I opt for pictures of both of us getting ready? Does the photographer just bounce from room to room? lol

The photographer I have booked is spending the day with me..  he gave me an approx time of 11am to 11pm....

My wedding isn't til 6... we are doing a lot of the pictures before the wedding. The guys getting dressed first and all that.. easy for the guys to get dressed..get pictures .. and then get undressed and go about their day :-)

Then he is getting pictures of all the girls getting ready.. once we are done then the guys can quickly get back into their wedding clothes and then we can get pictures without having to rush off to a dinner. I like this idea better as we are not going to be rushed after the ceremony for pictures .... that was we can enjoy the supper and dancing as you only get the private room for 3 hours.

Makes it a little more relaxed... although this would not work for someone who did not want to see their husband before the wedding.

The vendor fee I was given was 150.. although the pdf states 120....

Also was told that his meal would be extra or I could include him as a guest.

If your photographers are staying at the resort... I wouldn't even bother to let the resort know. Say a friend is taking your pictures :-)

I am rethinking the divine package for the reason of them not allowing you to sub in other things.. I am not using the photographer or the hair salon...

The more I look at the packages, I am better to go with the "free" packages and adding everything in I want, it will save us over $1000....

SusanMike2013,

Thanks so much for the info.  Yes it definitely helps!  I want spectacular photos and this is EXTREMELY important to me, way more important than cake, wine and h'orderves. This is mostly the main reason why I decided to do a DW.    Does anyone know if we can change packages?  The main reason I wanted the Divine was bc of the photo and DVD but since I'm going to get an outside photographer, I don't think I need this package. I would assume so but I guess I'm just getting paranoid.

ok my dear brides, i am in a serious help of some math brain! im trying to figure out if by not doing a divine package and going with complimentary one and upgrading is a wash?since i do not need the photographer and make up and hair services please help!

I have 35 adults attending + 5kids,

extra chair $3.50 p/p x 30(since 10incl)=105

cake           $7    x 30                           =210

champagne $4   x25(minus 5kids)      =100

platinum coctail $15 x40                      =600

dinner reception $50x35                      =1750

dinner child        $20x 5                        =100

bar                    $15x35                        =525

gazebo decor     $200                         Total=$3600(rounded)

Not sure about the ceremonial table and carpeted walkway prices

OR i can do divine package for $3000 (25ppl) and pay for the extra 15ppl

cake $7x15=$105

champagne $4x 15=60

platinum coctail $15x 15=225

dinner reception$50x 10  =500

dinner child       $20x  5=    100

bar                   $15 x 10  =  150

chair    $3.50          x 15   =52.50

                                                     Total $1193+ $3000 divine package=$4200 rounded.

Again i only calculated the # for the items that i must have, i know divine package comes with massages, romantic dinner, guitarist, hair, make up. so i guess my thought is if i didnt miss any numbers and miscelenious Does it worse $600?or not. what do you all dear brides think? Please correct me if i missed anything or misscalculated.

Thank you all ladies

@donnahewit. do u have an excell sheet of extras breakdown?if not let me know i will email it to u.

im kind of second guessing my self abt doing the complimentary package, for 600$ u get (guitarist, carpeted walkway, massage, some armature video/photo, hair and make up)to me it looks like a wash...and the only thing they actually giving away in hopes to upsell is video/photo.

i will have 3 outside vendors(450$)

DjMannia $$

***** Nova Photographer $$$

would also like to do the fire dancers, but debating as far as reception is only 3hrs and i dont want to take the time away from dancing...

and i will bring my paper lanters that i will have WC to hang for the undisclosed amount of price(since they cant giv me exact price numbercool.gif

i will not need their room upgrade, since we already paid for ocean view master suite

i finally heard back from Silvia(3wks later) i keep asking same question: "can u please tell me if you evenly subsitute my bridal bouqet and give me few boutoniers instead"(im bringing real touch bouqet, so have no use for their flowers, but can use corsage or boutoniere) but she keeps telling m my package doesnt come with bridesmaid bouqet...ughhh

have you gotten any emails recently from WC with some answers?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
