"New Resort Opening May 1 2011" NOW LARIMAR ~ PUNTA CANA

Recommended Posts

I think the DJ mannia service is $800 for 2012 plus $300 for 2pp vendor fees :S although the service is for 4hrs & incl an MC. Has anyone read the fine print about the receptions being only 3hrs long now? and dinner starting at 6pm instead of 6:30? when I booked we had clarification that dinner was at 6:30 & we could use our banquet rooom til 10:30 before having to pay extra......this nickel & diming is really starting to drive me crazy! I'm going to email Cristina & get to the bottom of all this

Hello ladies.... I've already become acquainted with Skygrl... We are both actually getting married on the same day October 8, 2012 and I must say I never expected planning a dedtination wedding would be so stressful. My FI and I have chosen to have our legal ceremony on the beach and our reception at the poolside. I've purchased a few of the items for the reception table centerpieces and I'm going to get my BM's bouquet and GM boutineer made at home with silk flowers. I want to do as much diy projects as I can to cut down cost because the resorts's pricing is way too expensive!!! My WC Sylvia is truly awesome, her response time is outstanding. She had actually called new a few times just to make sure we are on the same page. I am however compiling all of our conversations via email into a folder that I will print out maybe a day or two before our trip to ensure that there is no miscommunication anywhere. My TA did advise us early on that we would have to be on the island three days prior to our wedding and that the weekend doesn't count so we scheduled our flight accordingly. I've sent the salon pictures of how how I would like my hair and they assured me that they would be able to give new the desired style. My level of excitement is starting to kick in!!! I still have alot more decor to order in hopes to have it all done by August so that I can relax a few months before my big day. Congrats to all of you and if you would like to email me feel free tiamsavage@gmail.com

@Prettyfinebrown:

Welcome!  Sounds like you are getting much more response already than most of us have in the last year!  That is great. Sounds like you are way ahead of the game.  Congrats and happy planning.

I am wondering if any of the April brides may be able to help me. I know several of us are going to be there at the same time. I arrive Saturday night the 14th and we are being married Tuesday the 17th.  I ordered my chair sashes months ago and they came in, no problem.  I opened the packages to iron them today and upon closer inspection, they are totally different colors!  They are supposed to be sage green, 10 are sage and 10 are neon lime green. I bought from Ebay and seller no longer carries them.  Ahhhh!  I refuse to pay the resort $3 per sash.  My question is does any of you have sage/light green chair sashes I could buy from you after you are done?  I know it is a long shot, but just thought I would try.  I leave in two weeks and all the others I am seeing on ebay would ship too late.

Thanks girls!

Ladies, wanted your opinion about something. Im doing Divine package, and Christina said i could choose from the premium bouqet flowers. I was going to order reall touch flowers bouqet, and try to match resort flowers to it a bit. Do you think resort bouqet is 10''?i was thinking to give it to the one of the bridesmaid?unless they can make 2 small ones from it?i have 4girls, and 2 boys. I just dont want for it to missmatch completely...?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
