"New Resort Opening May 1 2011" NOW LARIMAR ~ PUNTA CANA

Recommended Posts

Vav- We did go over to secrets to check it out but we had to be escorted over there. I do know if you stay at Secrets you can eat anywhere at the Now But I think that if you are staying at the Now they may not allow you to go to the Secrets?? Maybe I am wrong but we had to get the concierge to walk us over to get past the security guard but maybe that was because it was at night?? I will ask.

As far as the disco, it is outside. I am not sure what time it opens but I do know you can rent it out before it opens so I am assuming if it opened at 9 or later then it would no longer be private? I am not sure what time it opens? It is a rooftop disco so there is no indoor disco. Half of it is covered but it is still considered outside I think.

I did get a few pics of castaways during the wedding reception but I didn't want to walk in Castaways to get any closeups because the reception was going on. I am sure Claribel has some better close ups of it!

I think Castaways is great for a reception if it had a lot of decorations. This couple in the pics I sent you didn't have any decorations and it was pretty small with no D.J. so that could be why I didn't think it was very impressive but I am considering it for my wedding reception as well.

After being super busy for the last two weeks moving house, I'm glad to be back!!!!!

And yup, Skygirl, you can hire whomever you'd like and pay the price to allow the vendor in (which isn't the same price as allowing guests that aren't staying there into the resort) but I'm not sure of the cost off the top of my head.

After seeing the videographer, I may want to do that too. The fountain wedding looks amazing! And I'm beginning to lean toward the idea of that rather than the beach. (Ah, but I really wanted to get married on a beach...just not with over-sized men in speedos.)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
