Welcome Newbride! If you look on this page I posted a link from a bride that recently had her wedding at Now and she used the resort photographer. I think the info might be a page or two back.

Happy planning!

Thanks for the info JB! I am a bit worried about my vision coming to life when I dont have a visual, so ladies all the pic posts help!

I was reading about the fire pits, has anyone heard back from the WC to see if they allow/provide them?

Thank you so much for posting those pictures, JB. It looks like they had their cocktail our at the bar and the reception at one of the banquet rooms or restaurants. After looking at the resort photog pics, I am glad I contracted with HDC (no offense to the bride who shared her pics).

Sara, you mentioned that you talked to the WC from Secrets. I wonder if I should do the same, as Claribel nor Emy Rose won't respond to my email for the week already. Would it be the solution?

OMG! Thank you sooooooooooooo much for this! The bride looked beautiful and loved her signature, go to, pose. But this has made it clear that I need to go visit. Just seeing the pics of a buffet - didn't make me feel good. Incredibly helpful!

Oh, and loved her 'after wedding' dress too.

You're all welcome, I thought it would help a lot. By the way she said that she was supposed to have their cocktail hour poolside of the preferred club but was movedwas moved to the Eclipse due to the wind. Her reception was held at Capers, and she had a sit down dinner surf and turf ( Vav, I think the pictures you were referring to as the buffet was just the cocktail hour).

She also hired breakdancers which I thought was a pretty cute idea, she had a welcome dinner (no pics for those) but also hired fire dancers and you saw pics of the trio. She said she spent $9000 for everything (not including their air and stay) which I thought was pretty reasonable considering all of her add ons. She had about 40 guest.

Hope that gives everyone better perspective as far as costs go!

JB- if that was a buffet for cocktail hour - than that is quite a spread!

Thanks for clarifying that for me. Thing is, I've been estimating it at around 60 people may come. Now, my prayers are that less than 50 book, so it can be a sit-down.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
