I think you're right JB, I must come to terms about having a buffet. I'm not a fan but it seems to be the only way.

My wedding date is February 29, 2012.  We arrive on the 24th and my sister would be there until the 2nd of March.  We are staying an additional 2 wks while we are there and going all over the Island.  Should be awesome!

Hey ladies!

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.  I am still trying to get in contact with Claribel and still no response. This wedding coordinator is starting to aggravate me!

 

Vav- I am trying to get them to do a pool reception as well and what I asked is if they can do a bbq style buffet. I agree, I am not a huge fan on buffet style dinners but if they could have someone out there grilling chicken, ribs, corn on the cob etc. I think that I could handle that.  So instead of having some kind of carving station I want them to set it up like a picnic style or backyard bbq theme for food.  I am waiting for a response back on that so I will let you know what they say if I ever get a reply back.

 

I am hoping I can get out there next month and get most of this resolved so cross your fingers ladies that I hear back from my client for his August friends and family packages.

 

JB- I still need to show you what I want for my invites.  Is there a questionnaire you can give me for the info you need that goes inside the passport?  Do you want a deposit for supplies etc.?  Where did you buy the linen for the liner of the passport?  I want to look at options for the color.  I think I may want to go with a darker tan for these. I am very excited that you are going to be making these for me!

TJ Feb- What other hotels will you be staying at after the NOW???  We are getting married Feb 17th and are staying at the Now for a week and then we are gong to Secrets Sanctuary for a week as well. Since we are booking through Apple we are able to transfer some of our free perks to the Secrets resort as well since they are a part of the AM resorts.

Hello ladies! I hope everyone is doing lovely and the planning is going great  My FI and I just had our wedding shower and AHR in MO, where he's from and it was wonderful. Now, back to the wedding planning.

Vav, thank you so much for posting those pics. It really looks great. I love their centerpieces with candles and flower petals. I'm wondering how many centerpieces are included in the Divine package (probably for few tables only).

Also, my future mother-in-law spoke to one couple who just came back from NOW Larimar last week, and they were very disappointed. They said the main buffet was indoors and the air conditioner wasn't working, the fountain (where I'm planning the ceremony) didn't work either, etc. I'm really hoping it was all just their negative experience and it won't affect any of us. The reviews of the NOW are so mixed that it is hard to tell there the truth lies. keeping my fingers crossed for the best.

Hey ladies I finally got the time confirmation from one of the new WC's for the NOW. She apologized for taking so long and said Claribel is out of the office for Medical Rest and will be back on Monday.

Thanks Deesanders! This helps a lot now back to finding out more about this guy...

 

I've seen a constant stream of good reviews on the Now's FB page, so I think I'm going to stick with that... and block out the other negative stuff. Also I've come to realize that being part of a wedding group, we can assume that they would take care of us. I hope!

I have been doing that as well but then I saw one interesting one that said that no matter how many drinks you have you can't get a buzz?? Has anyone else heard that??
