"New Resort Opening May 1 2011" NOW LARIMAR ~ PUNTA CANA

Recommended Posts

deesanders, I've used that and the old one with no such luck!!! But I think from reassuring Acutie, I've reassured myself that I need not to worry :)

Ladies I need your opinion on my BM's dresses, remember the orange dress I posted a couple of pages back? Can you tell me if that is a better choice than this dress in orange or green?

Thanks Deesanders, I'm trying to find the designer before I go the knock-off way... I just found it on the site where I had my dress made. I'm thinking about getting another made for our AHR... haha I think I'm addicted!

Acutie, I was wondering-- not sure if you've planned this yet but when are you sending out formal invites and when are you having them RSVP by?

Moniwoni, did they happen to give you info on other "extra" pricing that they didn't have on the doc they've been sending? Like DJ, photog and spa seervices? Please share if you do! Since I can't get an answer from them...

Hi guys!

I am using the new address as well with no luck.  That being said, I haven't sent much over the last week or so. I am just trying to be patient and hopefully other people will get the answers to the questions I need, ha ha!  Thank you guys for giving me the positive vibes, I need them.  It has been a stressful couple of weeks at work and I think little things are getting to me that usually wouldn't.

I have not heard anything about the resort photgrapher or DJ.  I wonder if they changed them with the changing of the managment?  I also have not chosen my package, prob. the middle one but not sure yet.  What is everyone else doing package wise?

DeeSanders: Yes, I double checked my confirmation letter and it did have my time on it.  Maybe if you email her back a specific time she can update your letter?

JB:I really love the one shoulder dress too.  It looks so comfortable and beautiful.  I also think it may be more figure flattering for your girls.  That knock off idea is great!  They have done a great job for you.  I am not sure about my invites yet.  I think I have been reading 6-8 months prior to wedding, so I was thinking of having them ready to go around July or August.  As for RSVP date, we are a bit different because we are only inviting our immediate family so we know they are all coming already.  I think my TA said our first cutoff will be October to still be able to back out of rooms, so prob then?  What are you thinking of doing?

JB Yes I am planning on doing my own invites, just depends on how many invites my fiance is wanting me to send out. He is wanting me to send out prob about 100 or more save the dates.. I am like WTH?? haha I thought about sending the RSVP with the save the dates on the people I don't think will attend, what do you think?? That way I don't have to send the invite to them. Do you think that is wrong?? I am wanting to do Passport invites but they aren't some easy invite to make.

AcutieRN. I def am going to try and get that taking care of ASAP. I started a thread asking people what they thought.

Acutie, I did want to send them around August, just not sure how long to give them to RSVP... But you're right I should probably base it on when they can still make changes for the booking. Thanks! That really helps. This is why I'm obsessed with this site, you ladies have been great! I might stick with the one shoulder, I just need to figure out if it's within budget authentic or if I should just "knock-off" it as well!

It would be nice to know about the DJ and photog, especially since I am planning on going through the resort with these things! I want to do the Devine Package, I think with all the added perks that it's worth it. Plus we like the menu better for that as well... Surf and Turf! yummm.... Oh I remember people wondering about swapping menus, did ayone get an answer for that?

I'm doing passport invites also and I'm starting to test out how to print them... it might be a bit tricky! haha... I don't think there's anything wrong with sending it our early for those that you know are not able to come. I actually had free postcards made from vistaprint and those are what I'm sending to people that I know are not coming! haha. Why waste my cute little luggage tags that I worked so hard to make on people that aren't coming? :)

I have to go back and check on extra prices... I dint get a full list but I did receive prices per hr for dj  or to extend dj services.  I came up with a list of questions to ask claribel, I figure let me get MOST of my thoughts together before I email or call her... being that it does take time for her to get back... I dont want to bombard her with emails.  I also cc my travel agent with anything related with the WC and she will also try to get in touch or get answers to questions via email.   JB I really adore both dresses...but the one shoulder I think is my fave!

I am going with the devine package.... premium liquor & DJ!  During the cocktail party I think I'm going to add the live music... maybe the carribean trio.   I spoke to the invitation store today and they said my invites will being going out either today if there done or Monday!    My RSVP is for August 1st.  I figure it gives approx 2 months for guests to reply it's 6 months away from the wedding & I'm sure everyone will know by August if they will be able to attend... Then I start working on my OOT bags & favors!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
