Recommended Posts

Fishermay2012, sent you the info! Congrats and happy planning!

Sarah, do you happen to have the rates for children under 3 yrs from apple? Would be interested to know if they would be free also...

Deesanders, will definitely give updates on the dress. I will order one for now just to see how it would turn out!

Here is what the traveling with children section says on their website.

Infants under two years of age throughout the duration of their vacation may fly and stay free, but must sit on an adultâ€s lap and do not receive a separate baggage allowance. Some scheduled airlines may charge for infants, including air-related taxes, and some countries do charge infant departure taxes. Any such charges by independent suppliers or governments are the responsibility of the client. Restrictions may apply to “Kids Stay, Play and Eat FREE†programs and most hotels require that children must be accompanied by full-paying adults and pay airfare. Policies vary by individual hotels. Hotels may check the passports of children at check-in to verify they qualify for any discounted child room rate.
At select hotels in Cancun and Riviera Maya, a single parent traveling with up to two or three children (varies by hotel) is not charged the single supplement. The hotels reserve the right to collect the single supplement in resort, or cancel any extra room upon arrival, if the promotional policy is not used in the manner for which it was intended. Restrictions apply.

As far as group rates goes...If you purchase Price Match Guarantee as a group you can get any lower rates that come out for your package.  You also get the 6th room free promo.  As far as air goes you get every 11th passenger free for charter flights.  There is probably a section on apple's website that explains it all but Yes the group rates end up being the same amount as what is posted on the site.

Hello ladies! I am new to BDW and have nothing but great things to say about it. I am newly engaged cheesy.gif and have been searching for the perfect place to wed. We were choosing between Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe and Now larimar for a while, and decided to go with NOW. I am so happy with our choice, because customer service is way better and overall it looks very elegant. We are booking November 18Th, 2011 for our wedding (I'm sending the credit card authorization tomorrow). So, I'll be bombarding you all with lots of questions if you don't mind. A lot is on my mind and I never thought that DW would take a lot of planning, but it looks like it!

JB-NO!!! Oh my goodness! Who did you get that quote through? This is basically what we will be paying for land only.  Is it through Apple?  I don't think I will be able to get that low with air.  Flying from Denver and Kansas City is much more expensive than the east coast.  We are like double to tripple the prices on air right now...I haven't seen or signed a contract yet though so I would be very interested in that quote.  Can you give me more info? Thanks so much!

DeeSanders-Welcome back, glad you had a good little getaway.  I am also glad to hear you got the CC situation resolved.

Sarah: Great work on the apple information! I still can't get flights out of Denver to post on their website.  Where are you flying from again?

JB:Think I misunderstood, I now see that that rate is pp.  Yes, its about the same that I was quoted. She did not include airfare in my contract but estimated it to be approx $600-700 per person, and that would end up being right at $3000 per couple or a bit more.  So it seems those prices are close.  It may be better though to get a package deal so you know air won't go up.

That  Rate is from apple vacation, and my TA a.k.a FMIL will price match less commission which she said would probably be another $100 off the individual rate. Acutie we're leaving from Philly, oh and only 2yrs and under are free but they are offering the every 6th room promo. You should definitely check apple's rates though even if it's just land or something coz they had it at $114 pnpp the other day... I called the 800 number they had on the site too, it's so much easier and sometimes they have the info sooner than what is on the site? Deesanders I'm almost positive that you would definitely get yours cheaper than mine, consider also that my dates are right after holy week so it's a bit high...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
