"New Resort Opening May 1 2011" NOW LARIMAR ~ PUNTA CANA

Recommended Posts

Hey JB,

So the introductory rates on the website are the same ones there offering me.  Were in the process of booking for this Nov....I know it's SOON!!!  My TA had mentioned to me if you book for next year it will go up slightly but you would still have to lock in now.   I was sent the new wedding options list for all the extras with menus etc.  There's a few mistakes since it was just put together but I spoke with the WC in DR and she addressed everything and was able to make adjustments to anything we weren't crazy about(super accommodating)  send me your email and I'll send you the list=)

Hey ladies I'm about to book for Nov 2011!!!! I'm Super Nervous too over the airfare but at this point I'm literally driving myself crazy!  Airfare is high no matter where you fly right now and considering the price for the resort it kind of balances out.  Wouldn't it be great if everything just worked out smoothly all the time?  Is anyone planning a site visit to the resort?

Hey girls!

Moni Woni, Congrats! What an exciting week for you. I am so happy you were able to book and make November work. I would love to see a pic of the dress too. I know exactly how you feel about flights being so expensive.  Its past ridiculous.  I will say that my DF and I travel a lot, and if we wait to book about 1-2 months out they are drastically lower. That is really hard to do though when it is your wedding! I want to have it all planned and ready to go now, not later, ha ha.  It will all work out, and you are right that the cost of the resort balances out a bit.

Could you send me the wedding package info too? I have some questions but am not hearing back from the wedding coordinator. For example, if we go with the basic wedding package (we don't want a true reception with dancing) can I add in a cocktail hour? My email is alechner0355@hotmail.com. Thanks so much.

I meet with my TA today! Hopefully she has some good info for me. I have her researching several resorts in PC, but pretty sure we have already made up our minds:)

I would say go for it!! But then again, I'm a little biased.. I'm getting married in November at the Now Sapphire in Mexico.

It used to be a Paradisus resort which they converted in 2010, and from all the reviews of girls who were getting married right around the time of transition, they do a good job of making sure you don't 'fall through the cracks'. That resort looks amazing! Good luck deciding!

I loved the Now Sapphire and Now Jade in Mexico! I just had a really hard time convincing people that it's safe to travel there so had to switch destinations completely! So finding out that the resort I switched would become a Now resort as well was just a "sign" that we made the right choice! cheesy.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
