Hi Jemma!

I live in the uk as well.We just got married in Gran bahia principe coba,Mexico,

The best desicion ever made and the best money ever spent. There is great thread on the forum although now is quite long but I remember reading when I starting planning my wedding and it was very useful specially because we all seem to have the same questions or concerns.

We booked with Thomas cook sputhampton and everything was great.

I am trying to figure out how to post pics and I will post a long review during the weekend.

anything I can help with let me know.

Hi sposa & Jemma

We have just booked the GBP Mexico for our wedding March 13.  What did you both do about photo's? I think the hotel ones are really expensive and hubby to be is having a fit over the price!!!!!! Do you know if you can get an outside photographer in?

The other things are the documents, TC Trip adviser and this site all say different things (dont want to waste money having documents translated etc if i dont need them all done)

xx

Hi everyone

I'm from the UK too! We have decided on GBP for our wedding. I have found Thomas Cook to be the cheapest so far (we are looking at Oct 13). Still waiting for wedding brochure from the resort (6 days and counting...I'm impatient haha). I will be booking my wedding directly with the hotel, not through the TA.

Just thought I'd mention this thread, which has more or less told me everything I need to know:

RE photographer: I found this -

"Local outside photographers are NOT allowed, however you can fly in your photographer and have them stay at the resort as a guest."

I have heard mixed reviews about the photographer but it seems as though we do not have a choice. The prices are on the above link and I have to agree they seem quite expensive! They have a facebook page where you can view their work, and it all looks good IMO.

Good luck with the planning, keep us updated x

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
