SMALL weddings - are you including your parents in your processional and recessional?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone

I was just adjusting my list that describes the order in which people are walking down the aisle and walking out after the ceremony.  The ceremony is on the beach.  I have 4 bridesmaids and 1 groomsman.  I was originally going to have our parents walk down the aisle first. Now I realized since i have so little guests that with the wedding party + parents, in the audience there will only be six people!  Once the parents walk and sit down, it will increase to 10.  The rest of us are standing up (7 including FI and myself).

So anyway, I am just wondering for people with really tiny weddings if you had both sets of parents walk down the aisle, or just had them sit in the audience from the beginning?

thanks!

we have 19 including us, 8 of which are in the wedding party making 10 up front and 9 guests sitting. i thought it might be odd too (more people standing in front than guests sitting) but thought it would be weirder to select a few to sit down "to fill things up" lol.

it's your day. do what makes you happy, you'll be too busy looking at each other, your guests will be looking at the two of you. everyone will be so wrapped up in the moment it won't matter.   =)

Both of my parents will be walking me down the aisle and I think FI parents will walk down the aisle before everyone else. We only have a MOH and BM so we will have some people filling up the seats, but I think most importantly its what you want to do.  I think either way is fine!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
